Gamecube games take up hundred's of megabytes of space on a GCN disk. The Wii doesn't have a harddrive big enough to hold that (512 is the last I've heard). Besides, it PLAYS GCN games, which you could buy for something quite an assload cheaper than $30 if you bought it used.
i remember i asked this question a very very long time ago. yeah the answer is no thats the reason the wii is backwards compatible with game cube games cause its impossible to put game that are that big on the V.C.
What is it with people wanting gamecube games on vc anyways? Do they even think about how much of a longshot it is? Sorry, if you missed out on the gamecube but the chances of it on vc are nonexistent, look for the games in used game stores and ebay if you're interested.
lets not forget, PS3 network has PS2 games, and Xbox Live has Xbox games.
...But this is a Wii, it has no harddrive and is lightyears behind the XBox 360 and PS3 in terms of technology and design.And also, if I may quote myself, I want to add that Microsoft and Sony really don't make as good of a use of their classic game libraries as they could. XBOX Originals only get added once in a blue moon, and I am sure Sony is about the same.
No. They'd rather add motion controls and charge you $30 for them. But its backwards compatible and you can probably find whatever GCN games your looking for cheap on ebay or elsewhere.
