Today i went to buy a Gamecube game to play on my Wii so i have to choose between Metroid Prime and Prince of Persia Warrior Within i choose Prince and its 60 bucks and Metriod is only 15 and the both of Them are Brand New

It shouldn't be $60 for either of those games, but $15 was a good price. New GameCube games can be a little expensive, because the only people who really care about them being new are collectors who'll pay anything. If you found those games used, they would have both been somewhere between $10 and $17 probably. Some Cube games are expensive, GameStop is selling The Legend of Zelda Collector's Disc for $40, but some are cheap too; I just bought a used copy of XIII for $2.50.

I could see the zelda disk being expensive because it was with a special offer and there aren't many of them. thats why RE2 is like 50 bucks because there aren't many copies. I don't know why PoP would be expensive though
i am not a collector i wanted to play a gamecube because i never knew it excited till i heard about the Wii the only console i had was the ps2 but i cant find any of the gamecube games anywhere
I paid $40 for Ikaruga a couple of weeks ago, and I have been wanting to get Beyond Good & Evil but fo some reason the GC version is really rare and pretty expensive.

Yeah the Zelda disc was expenisve as hell as soon as that got into Gamestops and EBgames and those sorts of stores. Luckily I was able to get one through the promotional offer. :D
RE3 also didn't have a lot of copies made making it rare and expensive as well. Most of the RE GC remakes are expensive and rare. Don't know why either.

same..used...but i'm pretty sure ikaruga was a limited release so that makes it a lil more fair.
When I go to Gamestop all of the games are really cheap except for Baten Kaitos and Baten Kaitos Origins and I want both of those games but I don't want to spend that much because it is still $40 to $50 the $50 is for Baten Kaitos Origins because it was release later.
Metroid Prime is only 5 bucks here...best 5 bucks I ever spent. EVER.
And Prince of Persia...well the Two Thrones might still be like 30-40...but they are still a bit high but they'll go down as time progresses. To everyone: Buy Baten kaitos and Baten kaitos Origins! You don't know how good of RPGs you're missing.
Even though some of the games are old, the good ones still are alot. Such as, Halo 1 + 2, Most of the Mario games, and alot of Nintendo's first party games... I think it's dumb
I'd suggest getting GC games used instead of new. Gamestop has some reasonable prices although Ebay is a bit better. I got tons of Cube games a while back for only $5-8 each.
They must be in high demand, alot of people missed out on Gamecube for PS2 and Xbox so when Wii comes along offering full unrestricted backwards compatability people nab everything they missed.

Even if High Demand is the reason, 60$ is still too much. I think 20$ should be the maximum price.
my local gamestop has "bargin" bin gamecube games and i noticed every starwars game and mariogame was 40$, an everything else was between 10$-20$..im sorry but any GC game thats 40 and ^^ is not a "bargin" imo
60 is definitely too much. I got Tales of symphonia and Metroid Prime for like 40 bucks. I think really desirable titles like those two, animal crossing, etc, can be expensive because of the wii's compatibility with gamecube games. For me it was a great opportunity to play a lot of popular GC games that I never got the chance to because I never owned one.
