I finally got my September issue of Gameinformer and they had this to say about the E3 08 Wii conference: "For longtime observers, Nintendo's showing was baffling. While the company is hitting on all cylinders in terms of sales in profits, this magazine is called Game Informer, not Quarterly Financial Informer. Simply put, there wasn't much to latch onto for most traditional Nintendo fans, especially since two of the big announcements (Wii Music and Animal Crossing:City Folk) aren't technically 'games' at all. While Wii Speak and Wii MotionPlus certainly looks promising, they also come with their own pricetags, and most third parties we spoke to had no idea they were being realesed until the conference, causing us to wonder if these will suffer from lack of software support. While GTA and Spore for DS are nice, it was a mistake to exclude promising Wii titles like Sega's Madworld and the new Pikmin game from the press conference. While we don't doubt that the company will continue to sell as many Wii and DS units as it can manufacture, there isn't much devoted Wii gamers to look forward to for the remainder of this year. Well jeez, this review was just in time! Its not like the conferences were a billion years ago. Typical, generic review of someone who doesn't understand the modern e3.
It deserves a f lol.....No anything only animal crossing and I usuallyplay alot of 1st party games what do I have to look forward to this yr? eh?..hmm Oh well nxt yr lol
All right get this in your head peoples, Nintendo's E3 party sucked. Yes Sir it sucked Ballzz (don't mod me on that one)
But why don't people get it???!!??!! no matter how bad Nintendo's e3 sucks it will still sell more games, sytems, and products than probably SONY and Microsoft combined! I am not bein' a fanboy but people sooner or later have to realize that for this gen's new consoles Nintendo is king. It showed big time with the DS and it showed with the wii. Insted of criticizing it, just accept it.

For fist party games yes i will give u that one but as a whole? No WAY!!!!!
Well, it didn't deserve a D. If you listened closely there were key facts in the conference. One, they are working on a new Pikmin. They also said both the Zelda team and Mario team are working hard, making new games for us. They showed us Animal Crossing: City Folk, which I thought looked great. Oh and a sneak peek of COD: WaW. Yeah, we got way better trailers of the games now. But thats aside the point. The point is, they showed us great games, and I for one am satisfied by this year's E3. Even though, its not the E3 I expected and would have liked.
It was stupid to make the focus of their presentation casual games when casual gamers dont watch E3 everyone would have appreciated the games a lot more if they were shown some place else....its pretty much the stupidest move Nintendo ever made because it just didn't make any sense
Sadly GameInformer was not alone in their assesment of Nintendo's E3 showing this year. For as long as I can remember Nintendo has always managed to get A grades for their E3 presentation (usually with plenty of surprises), but this year their conference was flat and they made no major new announcements.
But when you think about it, it is just a business presentation, it's nothing that effects their games or their profits.
