gamepad only

I'm taking my wii u on a trip to my grammas but she has no HD tv.  So I need to know my options on what i can buy there to play there.  I'm thinking of buying either need for speed and monster hunter - can you play these on the gamepad only?

cant do it with monster hunter until april.

you can try batman city, new super mario U, mass effect 3,tekken tag 2 all these have it.

NFS has Off TV play. MH3U gets an update in April that lets you do Off TV play. You could just get MH3U for 3DS lol...

that's true.  I'd rather have the wii u version just because of the extra features.  I have a 3ds and love it though.  I bought it the day it came out, although I haven't bought a game in a while.  anyhoo.  thanks for replies.

I got the Wii U version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate too. I wanted HD more than 3D. Tell grandma to upgrade :P

warriors orochi 3 hyper can be played gamepad only...if thats your thing, its totally my thing :P

You can use the WiiU with an AV cable.

nfs mw has it ,   pause game go to the game pad like icon

sonic all star has it  , swiping finger towards you puts it in or go to pause menu 

all but 1  eshop game has it -the one game that does not is the cave

monster hunter can but not until april

if shes got a sd tv you can get a wii av cable and use that if none of your games have it
