Should games be on the Wii even when they don't take advantage of the Wii's motion sensing ability? What do you think? Why or Why Not?

There are some games that just aren't very suiting to motion controls- like Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and Smash Bros Brawl. Both are right deserving to be on the Wii.

Yeah, not EVERY game has to include motion controls in order to be playable game on the Wii, as some games and genres just don't suit motion controls as well at the moment. That being said, I do wish that there were more games out there that at least tried to be creative with the motion or pointer controls, as seeing so many games not doing so takes away a big part of the appeal of the system. Unfortunately, it you want to see the creative potential of the Wii at work, you have to look almost solely at WiiWare games.

Yeah there's many great games without motion control. Brawl, Little King's Story, A Boy and His Blob, etc.

Of course they deserve to be on the Wii. If every game had to have motion controls, the Wii would be pidgeon-holed worse by unkowing people even worse than it already is. Fighting games would be mostly out of the question, and other games like Little King's Story would never see the light of day on the system. Also, games that have the option for both (MH3 and Baroque come to mind) would lose out big time, due to clunky camera controls when using the wiimote and nunchuck. Also, sometimes I couldn't be bothered with motion control. I'm all for playing Sports Resort, but it can be tiring. I shouldn't have to switch to another system to play games the "traditional" way.

well devs should only use the different features of a console if it makes sense. one of the probs with many wii games is that they try to force their design to work with motion sensing or pointing. there are other reasons to make a wii game besides using motion controls such as 1) much cheaper development costs. 2) very big and expanding userbase. so yes they should..if it makes sense in other areas to have it on the wii then it should still be on the wii.

Why you can achieve the same thing just by using the Wiimote and Nunchuck instead of forcing people to buy more BS accesories.

^^ Not really, some games just arn't playable with the Wii-Chuck for e.g. fighters, with the exception of brawl.
