It also probably depends on the reviewer's personal tastes. From what it sounds like on the forum for Spectrobes, some people like the way the game is designed, and others can't stand it. It's impossible to get a review that doesn't have a bias, simply because everyone is different and has different tastes for what they like to see in a game. Raimundo20
Agreed, I love the game.
well, it's disney. which, imo in the last FREAKING EVERY YEAR SINCE MY INITIAL CHILDHOOD HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT REHASH AND A LET DOWN. thanks for reading. i'm done now.Breakfast_ClubberLet me remind you that certain Disney products have been a success, even in the game world. Take into account the highly successful Kingdom Hearts franchise. The Disney part seemed to throw people off in the beginning, but after playing through them, you realize how much you've missed out because of biased thoughts. In the meantime, I find Gamespot to be giving fair and more or less accurate reviews. I read through them attentively, and I have come to notice that the score reflects more or less the enjoyment level of the "majority" of players. Take into account, for example, Diddy Kong Racing DS. For some players, it is a great DS title, but for the majority of those who have tried DDKR DS, it sunk low to a disappointment. For that, they scored 6.7 (not saying they scored it based on player interests), appropriately demonstrating that this game may not satisfy most gamers' expectations. It's been a pattern I've recently observed in Gamespot's reviews, and it is interesting to note : the higher the score, the more the pool of gamers enjoying that particular title rise. A score of 9.0 and up for example satisfies pretty much 90% of people who were interested in picking up the title (90% taken arbitrarily), whereas 7.0 and down seem to interest 50% of users and well, the other half lose their taste...
