yea.. they have being slowly with review lately... :?

but about SCL do not bother.. is actually as bad as ign/1up said.

they usually take longer with low anticipated or horrible gamesair_wolf_cubed

One simpe thing you cannot avoid is the fact that what you say in your review has to justify the score. In the case of Tp it clearly did not. Obviously things are subjective but that doesnt mean there is a general sentiment about a game. The general sentiment is that this game is indead AAA status. The industry has a collective thoguht and its not hard to point out the instances when its deliberately abused.

I thought GS had lost any ounce of credibility long before this "Jeff" incident happened. This was just a reassuring reminder why I do not pay attention to their brief and unfounded reviews. You may ask why I care so much when they always overrate or underrate a game? Simply because GS is probabaly the most influetial gaming site and the biggest, when they give a review it affects the success of the game on all fronts. And when good games keep getting slashed it affect future games.

GS obviously has been crrupt before this incident and they have alot of power with how games turn out. So basically the whole situation sucks no matter how you slice it.

Why would you wait for a Gamespot review? Evevrybody knows they're off most of the time with their wii reviews. Go to IGN if you want to see a real wii review.Sants412

Yeah, they're taking a while but it doesn't matter. Just go the rent the game and see if you like it. I personally think Soul Calibur Legends is pretty fun. But with more time it would've been really great. It was clearly rushed for the holiday season.Dark_Link142

Soul Caliber is fun but I doubt anyone outside of the most hardcore of SC fans would like it. I see so many problems with this game but its also nice to see some accurate portrayals of characters and weapons.

Its hard to appreciate a game you thought was going to be awsome. One of the few hardcore from the ground up developed games but they still failed alot.

...I actually agree with his LOZ: TP review. I really expected it to blow me away but i don't feel it lived up to expectations. Its still a good game. I find it funny how people take the word "great" and think it means "bad."just cuz its a new game, doesnt meanits new, understand?its great...its just not the innovation the other zeldas were

Even if you don't agree with his opinion of TP(I do and I've played it. TBH I liked PH a lot better) is besides the fact. He got fired because of not praising a game that the site advertises. That at least shows he published what hewanted to sayand not whatgame publisherswanted him to say which is in my opinion a great thing.

I've played it. I enjoyed it.

It was nowhere near the caliber of Lttp or ooc.

That's just how it is.

The review was right on the money for me.

I think his TP review was a little harsh considering the system it's on, lsong makrs for sound and graphics, because the wii can't handle true dolby digital and such. That is system bias that Jeff had. But his review for Halo 3 was terrible, giving it great scores and reviews but it was the same boring crap from the last one with marginally enhanced graphics. It's obvious that Jeff doesn't recognize the aspects of gaming that makes a game fun, instead he thrived on graphics and system capabilities over gameplay mechanics and polish. I'm sorry but Halo 3 was terrible, and TP was very enjoyable, yet both reviews were botched.Phazevariance

The wii is a cool system, but 4 or 5 year old tech should be taken into account these days.

The point is when every site that is actually reliable at rating games gives it a AAA or at least most of them we know there is something wrong. There are other games that were not up to the caliber of their predecessors and they got AAAs. LOOK AT PD0 for christs sake!!! Everyone knows this site is just dead when it comes to rating. WHy do you think every MS fan supports GS because their games are getting reviewed higher. Yes I know its an opinion but its supposed to be an educated, fair, and informed opinion. None of this was in GS TP review.

who cares about gamespot reviews anyway. their info on games is good but aside from a few reviewers, most of them have no idea what they are talking about. They are totally bias about 360 games.XCrunner161

They're taking longer for the reviews because they are waiting to see how much they'll get paid. High scores are expensive on gamespot!

Honestly, though, I don't see how this incident proves that Jeff never wrote reviews for advertising dollars. What you people aren't realizing is that perhaps he HAD been playing their game for years and finally decided he wouldn't do it anymore. He may have written a ton of reviews based on ad dollars and only recently started feeling bad for it, we don't know.

wow i didnt no he reviewed halo 3 as well..........now I really dont miss him, that 8.8 was the worst review ive ever seen, (maybe aside from the halo 3 review) That really makes me angry and im glad hes gone

everyone talking about how much they hate GS is not going to help....were givong them money right now by typing thesel letters..........either way I think most revieweres are biased because of advertisment except mb IGn, and Xplay, GI isnt too bad with their reviews but their "news" is so biased its ridicoulous

Yeah like how much tiem they took to review halo3 and Super Mario galaxy, halo3 got reviewed a WEEK before it came out and Super Mario Galaxy 3 days before it came out. Now that is biased. Also I can't agree more with the "M$ fanboys love GS because they only give high scores to 360 games" statement.

Also just so you know guys you don't PAY here in GS to get to post on the forums or access "premium" content. The ads pay for everything we do here in GS, but i don't think they have to influence in everything specially reviews. Though on IGN you pay to access some content so they "sometimes" do some fair reviews; Assassins Greed(360, PS3): 9.0 Gamespot, 7.5 IGN, 7.0 1up.
