Gamestop Shipped My 3DS Today? What The Heck? Awesome!!

I thought they were going to ship it on Monday! Great news!!

I purchased the 3DS through Barnes and Nobles... which uses Gamestop to ship. If anyone else ordered from B&N (probably not) or gamestop, check your email. I got my tracking info. It will arrive Tuesday. :)

I did ground shipping and UPS's new & cool tracking system says that it is supposed to arrive on Tuesday. BUT I've seen them on many occasions shorten their estimated delivery time. There's a great chance that I could get it Monday, since it isn't being shipped too far away from me AND UPS packages move during the weekend. So its a possibility.

the release date of sunday is the only reason i didnt pre-order it online, but either way ill be glad once i have it in my hands sunday!

I should be getting mine Tuesday from Amazon, but I'm willing to wait 2 more days since I'm saving 50 bucks from all the credits I had. Amazon sometimes surprises people though, so maybe I'll get it on Monday, but I doubt it.

Sweet. I hope mine follows suit soon. My 3DS's scheduled delivery is on Tuesday with 1-day shipping, but if it ships today then perhaps it will come on Monday instead.

Remember how hard it was for people to find a Wii when it first came out? (I wouldn't know really, since I pre-ordered my Wii and got it on day 1). But the 3DS could be even harder to find than the Wii! :o

So that answers your question of: "I never understand why people buy stuff from gamestop.com or places like barnes and noble when they could get it from amazon or another place online that doesn't charge sales tax."

Which leads me to my question of: "How the heck can people live in a taxing state, I can't imagine paying thousands of dollars in taxes a year on all my purchases... local AND online!" :P

I don't pay taxes because I live in a tax free state (once you go no tax, you NEVER go back!) and I don't like any of the 3DS games so I didn't get any. I'm going to simply play the AR games and the other stuff already on the 3DS. Plus I bought some DS games to play on the 3DS.

Just because you arent paying taxes doesnt mean you are really saving money in the long run. You are probably being charged some weird fees for everyday items, or are pying the money you would give to the govt if you were taxed somewhere else. The state government has to get its money from somewhere afterall

your probably paying higher on property taxes and in other things. so just because you don't get charged sales tax doesn't mean you are really saving because the government has to make the money somewhere.

Delware is a state in which people pay less taxes and pay more with their money on all the good things in life. We are such a small state, we get breaks. We get picked on, but in the end we win, because life is all about money... and we get to keep it. :D

Why do you think every major Bank tries to locate their headquarters in Delaware. I could give you a hint, but I bet you can figure it out. ;)

The "problem" is most states that have lower taxes also tend to have less jobs available and/or the average annual income is lower. Therefore the cost of living is generally cheaper. That's how it balances itself out.
