Why??? I put it in, play for a bit, save, and I shut off the system. When I turn it back on though, the Pokemon screen only says Press Start. No Load Game or anything?

Did you try it on another DS or Game Boy Advance? Otherwise the game's internal battery might have died.

^ yep thats most likely the problem, you might be able to change it I use to do it with snes carts.

you just need to find out what kind of battery it is.

Don't know what's going on with you. I don't think it's true to burn your face to solve problems. Either that, or my mom lied to me how not to touch the stove =S.. Anyways, I have to agree with Flame, that the internal battery might have died. Have you used cheats on Firered, by any chance? My buddy did once, and he couldn't save anymore:(

Well, I got it used on Ebay (and now I'm thinking I made a big mistake). If the game's internal battery has died, how do I fix it? Or do I have no choice but to buy another game?

I second this. The DS is pretty good at finding out if a game is pirated, and it is probably wiping the save itself because it realizes the game is pirated.

Thank you, it didn't take long to make though XP. I don't think the games would be that cheap though, since I went to my local gamestop looking for SSB64 (since they have old N64 games they never sold) just for the heck of it, and all the N64 games were 15-20 dollars. I doubt GBA games would be cheaper.
