Don't know what's going on with you. I don't think it's true to burn your face to solve problems. Either that, or my mom lied to me how not to touch the stove =S.. Anyways, I have to agree with Flame, that the internal battery might have died. Have you used cheats on Firered, by any chance? My buddy did once, and he couldn't save anymore:(trust me, burning all your possesions will definitely fix your problem!
