Has anyone else noticed some ghosting. It ussually happens in images with large contrast between colors like the AR game's card in the menu. (the one that spins with the block guy running on it)

You're correct, it does happen from your eyes getting tired, because you start seeing both images seperatly instead of as two perspectives of the same object (which makes the 3D effect). I had it happen last night after I took some night time cold medicine because I'm sick at the moment and since it makes you drowsy, it's a little more difficult to concentrate. It only happen for a few seconds, because I turned the 3D slider back from max and to only about half way, which made it a little easier for my eyes to focus on (I think).
if you get a "ghosting" effect than just means you are not in the sweet spot. adjust the 3d slider or move the distance from which you are viewing and the ghosting effect will be gone.
i have spent like 3min with AR cards so i cant comment... i plan to mess around with them soon though..
however if you are seeing ghosting in your games for extended periods then its something wrong on your end..
what games are you having problems with?

i have to correct myself..
after playing ocarina of time for 3 hours straight at full 3d.and also rayman 3d..i can better answer this question.
during cutscenes there will be some slight ghosting sometimes..only in cut scenes..
however if your seeing it during gameplay it means your eyes got a bit tired.. i can go maybe 2 hours then i start to ghost a little not a lot but a little...so maybe you need to let your eyes rest a bit.
Ghosting is very real, but it is also very dependent on the individual. I have download demos of videos for luigis mansion 2 and has seen many ghosts in that game probably more than any other game on 3DS and maybe consoles in general

so judging by this joke it means you experience no ghosting whatsoever?

All joking aside, I hardly notice the ghosting. I usually set the 3d slider to approximately 85%, and notice next to none. Ocarina is the first game I'm able to comfortably play with the 3D all the way up--and occasionally I'll notice a bit of ghosting. I think it is partially how you are holding the system, but I only really notice it when I'm running into a dark cave with high contrast.

so ghosting comes from dark high contrast areas and not from your eyes getting tired after playing a couple or few hours?

I have no idea, to be honest. All I know is that sometimes it pops up, and sometimes not. I'd imagine it deals with how you focus in on the screen.
I notice it all the time. If you have Zelda stand beside a dark bankground and turn the 3D on. It's much harder to noticed it if the game has bright colours.
I'm not seeing ghosting in the sense that I get lingering bits of a fast moving image, but I can see a slight halo (almost double-vision) on the left eye side of my screen. I know it's not my eye because if I shift my perspective I can see it through either eye, and adjusting the slider does nothing but adjust how separated the double image is. So at 2D it's not visible at all, and at full 3D it'sabout half a centimeter apart. It's very faint, so if I don't concentrate on it I don't really notice, but man...once you see something like that (or like a stuck pixel) it's all you see. Maybe it's defective.DJ_Lae
when i say ghosting i mean you see the image twice but the 2nd one is faint like a ghost.
OMG..thats what ghosting means right? because thats what i mean.

That's what I figured, I'm just more familiar with ghosting on monitors and TVs, where you see the previous frame (or part of it) after the current frame has already popped up, creating a trail behind moving objects (especially dark greys). I guess my 3DS isn't defective if seeing that sort of thing is normal. It's a bit annoying, though.I had a lot of ghosting in Rayman and Sims 3. It was so bad I sold them.GAMESHARQ
you know what you have to do.. is hold the 3ds very steady but even that is hard... i suggest you lay on your bed superman style so your elbows are on the bed and you can hold the 3ds super steady....this is the best way to enjoy the Full 3D imo..

Is it only your left eye that sees the two images? That's the same as me.gameoftheringYeah, just the left. It seems to fade a bit if I hold my 3DS further away, but at that point I'm almost holding it at arm's length and the screen is too small for the 3D to be immersive in any way.
