i got my ghwt bundle and then saw articles about the drums having a problem and you have to go through activision to get a new set to fix it. but today my guitar has been acting up so i went in to exchange my bundle for a new one since my guitar wasnt working but they didnt have another one so they gave me credit. i just needed a new guitar but they said thet couldnt swap out a new one for the defective one.

anyway i went to another gamestop to c if they had any wii bundles and they didnt and i told the guy i had a defective guitar and he asked me where it was and i told him i returned it and was looking for another one. he said that they should have given me a new guitar from another game/guitar bundle.

So long story short if u have a problem with ur drums u have togo through activision,

but if you have a problem with ur guitar or software u can go back to gamestop( if thats where u got it) and u can get a new guitar or game! u dont have to use activision

I have a really important question. If I get the full band kit, can I return just the game? I doubt it, but since I didn't have enough for the full kit I got the Guitar Bundle last night, and I'm getting the full kit for xmas. But I don't really need an extra game. I'll have a third guitar as it is.

Or, any hints or anything of just a drum set? Because I could easily find a usb microphone.

Thanks!

you wont be able to return the game by it self and i dont think they will sell the drum set by itself either so you may need to sell the game on ebay or something

That's why I bought damage protection at my GameCrazy:

1. Thought something like this would happen

2. I was being nice and helping the rep get his percentage up.

Since my drum and guitar work, I have been having alot of fun. though if I had the same problem, I'd probably bewithout drums for a week before I exchange them for new ones. Besides, according to the Game Guard warrenty, I can smash my drums, destroy my guitar, and snap the game disk in half(or microwave it :P ) and still get them replaced. lol The instruments I assume, but the game I know for a fact since they tell their customers all the time. ;) Guess that's the bliss of buying in-store warrenty. :)

Gamestop will let you trade in the guitar hero game for probably about $20. Don't try and give them the game sealed. I tried that with Guitar Hero 3 and they yelled at me. I recommend selling the extra game on ebay or half.com you'll make more money. But they are supposedly releasing a standalone drumset in December if you just want to wait.

Well so far my kit seems to be working. I was a little bit worried about the yellow "disk" (forgot the name of that part of the instrument lol) cause it wasn't registering. I read online that having a computer on and near it could cause interference so I turned of my computer and yellow disk seems to be working fine for now. Maybe a fluke or maybe there IS interference between drums and computer...guitar works perfectly for now *knocks three times on wood* don't wanna jinx it.

You jinxed it. I posted a blog on Monday that my drums were working fine and the next day my red pad stopped working. :-(
