Here is a good look at the game. When I first saw this game I was worried and I still am, but this video should help. When you see the game running it looks WAY better than any still shots I have seen. The difference between video and screenshots is huge.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but this game looks a lot like Punch Out. Which I think is really cool. Like Punch Out this isn't really much of a fighter. So if you like Punch-Out!! then here is something that MAY be in the same ****of gameplay with lots of gore. There has been talk of RPG elements and online so there is also room for this game to have much more replay value than Punch-Out. Who knows. All I know is there is much more to this game.

Hmm...I'm not really impressed at the moment. It does look a lot nicer in motion though. Still, when they talked so much about bushido blade, I was really hoping for one-hit kills instead of a health bar.

You say Punch Out, but the guy in the video says Bushido Blade. By watching the game play, I don't really see Punch Out, but I do see the Bushido Blade similarities. I'm still not really interested in this, but I did like Bushido Blade, so I'll keep my eye on this.

They might be able to push this game a lil more if they show us some different locals or elaborate on the story...I remember hearing about some RPG elements to this...give us something to chew on instead of just showing us gameplay that looks like alot of hit or miss.

That looks a LOT better than the initial footage did, and the gameplay ideas sound promising. I still don't find myself attracted to it, though, even with the more strategic gameplay. Maybe as the game gets more polish and more set-in-stone gameplay elements, I'll get more interested. It just seems like the final product could be anything at this point with the way the developer was talking.... Like, here are our ideas, we hope they turn out well, if fans have ideas we'd love to hear them, etc. I know they unveiled the game so early in order to get fan feedback, but I'd rather see something further in development to get an idea of what the game I'll eventually be playing is like. But maybe that's just me.

Still seems a bit to slow for my liking. I know it isnt suppose to be a high speed fighting game, but rather a stragtagy fighter. But still it seemed slow and boring

That video only made the gameplay look worse. I wasn't going to get it before, now there is probably no chance at all that I'd even rent it.

It's more like Wii Sports Boxing than Punch-Out!!

Will be picking this one up day one. I have always been looking for a good Roman/Gladiator-ish game. This seems to be a good one minus the unnecessary gore. I hope Online is included and some sort of Character Creation mode so I can create Jason from Jason and the Argonauts.

this game is shaping up beautifully, but still... i know it's really soon to make any conclusions, but i'd like to see the characters having more personality. as i see it right know, it looks like just a bunch of russell crowe's clones chopping one another' limbs off.

Graphics looked a lot better, they got rid of that purple skin everyone seemed to have:P

Gameplay looked meh from the bit we saw.. the animations are either way to quick or way to slow, just a little fine tuning and it should look a lot better. Loved the slow motion shield swipe at the face:D

Well there are not one hit kills as far as I know, it has a health bar and cues when you know the opponent will hit.. Its not a clone of either game, but it is taking elementsfrom both.

If they claim it's so realistic, the dodging animations shouldn't look like teleporting.

You know there were Gladiator movies before Russell Crowe right? I much prefer faster pace 2D fighters, but I wish them success for trying something a little different. Though given that the game uses animations for attacks I don't see what they are using WM+ for. Did anyone else notice the American Gladiators theme playing the background?

I really think a Soul Calibur would be better than this, but the chances of an SC Fighter are bleak after how Legends flopped.

well it deserved to flop,it wasnt a real soul calibur, it was horrid crappy game. Its sales had nothing to do with the potential sales of a real soul calibur fighting game. And well is hard to compare a fighting game on the lines of Soul calibur or Tekken with an strategic action Bushido blade type of game.

They want some user feed back right? Well we are all marveling at the way this title looks but to me it seemed very erky jerky. I would like to get a lil more story going on here. I would also like a create a fighter Mode and be able to duke it out online with your guy. Also maybe they can do what SSBB did and give a spectator position, where u can use wii speak to talk about the fight or tell either side hey ur doing good I wanna fight you next or something like that. They were able to make friends list so much better with The Conduit they can do it with this game. Idk there is ALOT they can do with this game to make it bad ass.

Wow! What really surprised me is how good the game looks! The first trailers that appeared a few weeks ago, which did look pretty good, don't look even a fourth as good as that playtest did. Seven months in this game is shaping up very nicely. I will DEFINITELY spend my money to support this risky move by High Voltage! :)

That would be the coolest spectator mode ever. It would be more interesting if you could bet while you were watching and whatever you win goes to improving your online character or something else significant. Also if there was a tournament mode.

Random thoughts for random people....

This is looking better and better, but they seemed to have changed the gold tint for a purple cool aid tint. I prefer the aged look of the gold tint, but the graphics do look good.

Since it's somewhat like Punch Out, I hope they add balance board support.

I like how the character can go down different paths for different perks (please the crowd for certain perks, anger the crowd for others). The use of the crowd in this game sounds excellent, really. Have any other games useda virtual audience like this?

Graphics look good, animation is teleporty and gameplay looks boring. It should just be motion plus controled with buttons for blocks and specials. It'd be more interesting like that in my opinion. Not buying regardless though.

Ya they need to finish the frames of that animation. It is using WM+ for more accuracy and such.
