I have to admit i have not kept up with gaming for over a year and I was wanting to get a ds to pass some time while I'm at work but saw that they came out with DSi...whats the difference? are the games going to eventually be moved to a DSi format? Used ds's are about 80$ here and I was going to pick it up but dont want to get it only to have nintendo stop making games for it in lights of the new DSi format. Also Im into rpgs and strat games, anyone have some good recommendations before I look at the stickie?

They won't stop making DS/DSLite games. That's like burning money.

I'm going to have to agree. As much as I want to say get a used DS, the DSi has yet to show it's true colors; maybe *maybe* the RPGs that will make their way out the next few years will benefit you more with downloadable content or extra missions or something else that may pick your interest. However, if you must purchase one soon and can not wait, you'll be safe with a Lite for long while.
