I dont think there are any decent rts' for the ds. However, u should try Adavnce Wars: Days of Ruin or Dual Strike. They are both sweet turn based strategy games.

I think it'd be awesome if like.. A port of the original C&C with maybe a WiFi upgrade was released. That'd freaking ROCK.

Final Fantasy 12: RW is a RTS. It's a bit different than Starcraft obviously, but give it a shot.

yea i actually enjoyed that game. although i think it got shunned by the general community. but i just played ninjatown (d/l from the ds service on wii) and its very enjoyable. its a little too cute for a purchase but nontheless playable. you could check that out...if you own a wii for the d/l that is

I dont know why there aren't any RTS games for the DS. With the stylus and touch screen it seems like a perfect medium for an RTS.

Take peoples advice and check out those games. There's no true RTS a la Starcraft style for the ds. This person poses the thought, which I'm sure you're thinking:

The answer is simple- a 2 inch screen can only display so much. Yes they could stretch out your vision to both screens, but you would have to constantly flip back to control units. Hopefully, in the future, someone will wise up and either make Supreme Commander controlled (zoom in/ out of a world map) or instead of top-down, change the view completely.

Cool. I might try some of those out.

I really hope they come out with an RTS like Starcraft.

I play both RTS and TBS games, and being a "Dawn of War" freak I hear your screams... a turn-based game is NOT a real-time game and vice-versa... but try the WarHammer turn-based game on the DS, "WarHammer 40K - Squad Command" has that SciFi edge and I found it to be a really nice on-the-go surrogate when I couldn't get my laptop out and get a full game of DoW out of my system. I like the Advance Wars series, I just prefer a bit more edge to the style & presentation.

I know it's not EXACTLY what you were asking for, but as a fellow genre fan I thought I'd throw that out there. It is a real shame that they haven't innovated a bit more with the stylus and touch screen to bring a really revolutionary pocket RTS experience to the market...

Try Ys strategy. Gameplay is a bit like AoE. Only drawback is the graphics :(
