With the price cut, the 3DS is even more of a contender with the upcoming PS Vita. I was worried for the 3DS when both were at the same price point. Once some games start to roll in, I believe the 3DS' sales will pick up. I remember the DS wasn't worth owning until a couple years after its release, except for a handful of titles. It might be a similar situation here. But then again, maybe not, now that Nintendo has to also deal with Apple.
It is only in System Wars that people are over-reacting and for fanboy reasons. Sometimes, it is mind-numbing reading the threads on that forum.
I agree people are overreacting, but I can see why. The 3DS's launch lineup wasn't as strong as it should have been (even Ninty admitted this) and the price cut makes it look like Nintendo is panicking over the 3DS's slow start. Also throw in the uncertainty of the WiiU and its new controller along with Nintendo's stock going down and I can see why people would think this. I will admit Nintendo is going through a tough period, but its still early and Nintendo's track record is good enough that we shouldn't lose faith in them just yet.
who said they're dying?BrunoBRSThat awful place people like to call System Wars. Or as I like to it call "Silly People" board lol. Actually, I'm also surprised by the amount of publications that were quick to jump on saying "Is Nintendo in trouble?" Blah blah blah. Though, I guess we should get used to this by now - It happens every generation.
System Wars always overeacts. It's best to just ignore us sometimes.
Most people there don't understand that the reason Nintendo's having problems with the 3DS is primarily the release window. Systems traditionally release two or three months before Christmas, not after. Not as many people are buying systems in the first half of the year.

Funniest thing I've EVER heard on this site.
If Nintendo had made Pokemon B/W a 3DS game and had another big 1st party game (Mario 3DS Land, Kid Icarus Uprising, Mario Kart 3DS) out there wouldn't be a need for the price drop.
But look at it this way, Nintendo will take the launch of the 3DS and learn from it and have the WiiU more reasonably priced (like making a smaller profit per console or dare I say take a loss per console like their doing on the 3DS) or have a flow of WiiU games ready for the first year of the WiiU.
and Nintendo is no where near dying.
Ninty will be just fine. Even if they lose the "hardcore" market they can still fall back on the huge "casual" market.
[QUOTE="Nozizaki"]Dying? If this was Pokemon, they would have been hit by Tackle. System Wars blows this thing outta proportion.BrunoBRStackle? more like growl.
More like splash... Seriously, Pokemon, Mario, Zelda and much more Nintendo exclusive stuff are the best selling game series out there.

They have a hardcore market? Oh wait, i'm part of it. Actually, i'm a die hard fan of Pokemon, which is one of the few reasons i still buy Nintendo products. (though while having them, i do have a lot of fun with other games too on the (3)DS, i could live without though. But not without Pokemon.)
Truly the greatest generation. :cry:I hope the 3ds is on the verge of destruction lol because when Nintendo is in a pickle awesome games are made and more sacrifices are taken. That's why the Gamecube had such great first party offerings.

REally? I never got a chance to enjoy the gamecube to the fullest extent.... Tales of Symphonia and Windwaker were my two highlights though I know of a few more I never got a chance to play (RE4, THousand doors)
