I've been trying to play it with the WM+, but... it seems all wrong, do you have to enable it in options or something? It seems to lose track of what i'm doing and prepare a forward or backhand when the remote is just pointing at the screen. I know it can lose calibration, but holding the remote sstill does nothing, he just holds his forhand or backhand.

Further, none of the moves works, when I do a normal shot, it seems to add forspin or backspin at random : / Slices kinda work now and then... anyone have any advice?

They basically used WM+ to attract people to their game, which is not a good game at all, 1. from reviews. 2. from me trying it myself.

Well I think the controls with Motion + are a bit wonky but having watched 3 of my kids play together for 3 hours solid with barely a cross word I have to think that as a game it's ok!!

The only advice I can give you is to get Virtua Tennis 2009 instead! I had the same problem with Grand Slam - try to hold it still during replays, but even then I still found it lost calibration sometimes and had the same problem as you where the player would prepare for a shot when I wasn't moving the remote. The game auto-detects the M+ so you don't have to enable it or anything. I switched over to VT2009 because I never got Grand Slam working too well for me... the motionplus isn't utilized well in that game IMO

I think Grand Slam tennis once learned is way above Virtua Tennis. I have both and no longer play Virtua Tennis. With Motion Plus it does take a lot more practice and isn't quite as pick up and play as Wii Sports tennis but I made a vid to help people.

If that is too hard Grand Slam Tennis can be played without motion plus too and I think it is still better than Wii Sports Tennis or Virtua Tennis. I can hit a slice topspin and flat everytime but it takes some practice. The game is the most like real Tennis where you can go for a angle or down the line winner if you dare and either bask in the glory or just miss by inches. Very creative tennis game.

Overall I do think Tiger Woods is the defining motion-plus game out right now. The disc Golf and the putting is 1:1 but did you ever wonder why the other swings aren't? I think there are some motion-plus hiccups right now and I wish Nintendo helped other companies use the motion controls. I know Wii Sports Resort will not have these problems.
