Great Reasons to get the Wii

1) It is the best console on the market at the moment

2) It is the cheapest of the three main consoles on the market

3 ) Barely any wires

4 ) The whole family can play on it and enjoy it

5 ) There are games to suit everyone

6 ) Comes with many new Wii channels

7 ) Can play Game Cube games

8 ) Can connect with the Nintendo DS

9 ) Has its own e-mail system

10 ) Has an internet connection so you get: the Virtual Console, WiiConnect24, Internet Channel, Forecast Channel, and the News Channel 

Please post what you think of my list and if you have any other reasons please post them and I will edit my list and include it plus put who came up with it, just say if you don't want it to be added.

You forgot...

11) Has Nintendo franchies up the wazoo! (Zelda, Metroid, Mario, SSBB, Pokemon, Donkey Kong, etc.)

9 ) Has its own e-mail system - Useless

10 ) Has an internet connection so you get: the Virtual Console, WiiConnect24, Internet Channel, Forecast Channel, and the News Channel - I guess so

In response to your number 2: No.

I'd pay $700 for a Wii as long as it could do what it does: it gets non-gamers to play. No matter how sweet the graphics and games are on 360 and PS3 (and they are pretty freakin' sweet, mind you!), you're not gonna turn the average housemom or grandpa into a gamer. Wii can do that (and it has). Just look at the Nintendo DS. A bunch of old-timers bought it just to play Big Brain Academy. JUST FOR ONE GAME!

Hmm. Something tells me you don't like the Wii. Just a hunch, though.

1. You're wrong about that, but the main reason to buy a Nintendo console is always..... To play games made by Nintendo.

It's just that none of the reasons were any good.

Why when somebody has an opinion that is not a compliment about something you like they are trolling? man...libthegod

When you put it THAT way, it's not trolling. But when someone makes an entire post (several posts, actually) that exaggerate something's supposed weaknesses and totaly ignore it's strengths, then it is trolling.

The one reason everyone SHOULD get a Wii is...it's A CHICK MAGNET!!  Every girl, woman, model, pornstar or whatnot is hooked to the Wii.  To me that's a Heavy damm reason to get a Wii.

Oh and don't forget the actual fact that the Wii is making videogame haters into videogame addicts! and the most odd people like grandmas and grandpas and of course, mom and dad.

Kudos to the Nintendo developers.
