Guitar Hero: On Tour announced!

i have GH2 and 3 for ps2, got the kramer guitar about a month ago. i play rock band on my friends ps3. its different cuz im used to the clicking of the guitar hero guitars. i couldnt keep my timeing correct on expert. o well, im gettin those too. summers goina be here soon. im excited!

the downside so far is it only has four fret buttons though. no orange? all you really need is four for the ds, but its better and more fun to have to reach and shift your hand on the guitar. other than that, it looks like fun! it'll make the between easy and medium level players get used to playing with the blue button. im an expert, i need the orange. haha.

the beatles one would be nice. id play it. it'd be a classic.

true, which is the reason why i think it will be too easy unless they have some kinda hyperspeed mode or super extra hard mode that makes it harder with just 4 frets

I'm bummed out that there is only 4 chords....hope the game isn't too easy like hard is on GH3!!!

really it would be stupid to put it on the psp

1.) it would be way to hard to implement the Fret system, if u put it at the usb at the top its too hard to control and impraticle

2.) who cares about the graphics? its GUITAR HERO!

3.) sound im somewhat gonna agree but you would be suprised at what the DS is capable of, and its not just touchscreen that is it selling point.

4.) no its offical, and ITS GONNA RAWK!!!!!!

All I can say is that looks really clunky and annoying...plus it's probably going to be easier because there are only four fret buttons. Good thing I'm not a GH fan, because otherwise I'd be majorly disappointed...

Just give me another EBA and I've got my rhythm fix on the DS.

AWESOME! great idea, way better than sing touch screen or buttons for the fret buttons.

the only problem is that the grip is kinda big to carry around.

this is the game ill have to buy with some headphones.

Thats actually a pretty good question despite the fact that I have the Lite version. I will wait for a review to find out if the songs on it will be worth picking the game up. If it plays with precision like its console counterparts, and the songs are of my liking (rock, metal, etc) then I will pick this up guaranteed. I have high expectations for this one and that fret bar that connects to the DS looks awesome...too bad that it only has four frets instead of five but then again, that might prove a bit difficult for players to move their fingers to hit all five frets while holding the DS. The DS isnt strapped to our shoulders like the guitar hero guitar.

looks to me like it won't matter what you use it on. The phat DS has the GBA port doesn't it? maybe it fits? i dunno.

I think this looks pretty cool. I don't have guitar hero at all, yet.... I've been waiting till I get some more free time so I can really play.

It looks like an awesome game, I'm hoping the songs will be something everyone will like (not a big rock fan) but either way I will probably be getting this.

As far as putting it on PSP or DS, I think DS is the way to go. I think the DS has more to offer for this particular game, and while it may not work perfect, I think it will work better than the PSP. Plus, I don't know why, but I take my DS with me on the road 9 out of 10 times. I think it is because I can hardly ever see the screen on the PSP unless I'm indoors, so the DS is usually my choice system.

I fail to see how the DS has more to offer for this game. Besides the touch screen, that's it. The PSP can offer better graphics and many, MANY more songs.

However, it will do well no matter what system it is on. Guitar Hero always has.

Taking the key thing that made Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero was the using of a guitar, albeit it's not the same for the DS, but you got to give them an A for effort. So either explain and back up your moaning or just do us all a favor and take your negative attitude and go away and spamming the topic with pointless and non-thought provoking insults.

I didn't red all of the second part. The PSP has better graphics, music/sound , bigger screen. You could play it with WIRELESS!!!! Does the DS have that, well it does but still, the DS is only a Wi-Fi signal to play with some one. The PSP would be able to have a wireless guitar.

Whether its a wireless guitar for the PSP or the DS...the problem is still the same. Both are too small to watch the screen from a distance while you play on the guitar. Another thing...isnt it supposed to be portable? How portable is a game for the DS or PSP that requires a rather large add-on?

I beleive that the same kind of add-on employed for Guitar Hero: On Tour can be redesigned for use on the PSP though it would have to completely wrap around the back of the PSP to reach the data port at top and the bottom for fret button placement. That brings up a question though, for which PSP do you make the game for? Unlike the DS Lite which has been out longer than the PSP slim and was received better over the older DS than the Slim was over the original PSP, there arent enough PSP slims out there in people's hands to be able to clearly justify making the add-on for the slim only. There might be a way to make for both since both arent that much different in size but thats up to the R&D teams.
