Hello there. I'm currently collecting any rare DS games, and I would appreciate your help just in case I'm overlooking one or more.
Electroplankton - Sort of rare; somewhat expensive on ebay nowadays. I have it. Monopoly / Boggle / Yatsee / Battleship - Quite rare. I have it. Nintendogs: Best Friends - Rare. This is what I'm currently looking for.

Wasn't Electroplankton only released through Nintendo.com and not available at normal retail stores?
Anyway, when Nanostray came out I had quite a time trying to find it. I eventually found a copy in a mall in New York while visiting relatives.
Phoenix Wright (the first one) was also really hard to find. Saw it in Gamestop on the day after Christmas...first and last time I've seen a copy in stores.
Electroplankton can be found cheap if you find it in the used DS games shelf at Gamestop/EB games but you can easily import it and it comes with headphones.

Dawn of Sorrow is not hard to find I saw it 2 days ago at Gamestop for $20 new, with new box art, I've heard Trauma Center is hard to find, but not sure

XDDDD hehe im a rare game hunter aswell xD but im more focused on both GBA and DS games... imo... the most rares games are always from the publesher ATLUS !!! and my favorite company xD they always bring funky weird RPG from japan... and that how i like em xD... HEHEH sweet most of the posts indicate PW traumacenter and casltevanias y have them all xD... except elektoplankton >-> i havent searched for it since it dosent interest me much XD

OMFG i have all four of those and i did not know that they were rare. relax xD... at the begining of lounch they are very common games... and now a days they are quite dificult to find... now ATLUS games... they are rare since lounch >->U
Let's see: there is the REALLY RARE Game & Watch Collection DS Monopoly/Boggle/Yahtzee/Battleship DS game Electroplankton I guess the metroid first hunter demo is pretty rare But in reality a lot games can simply be found in Amazon and ebay for normal or little bit higher price

They didn't just sell it in stores.
I went to the shopping centre today and saw Advance wars, kirby canvas curse and the first Pheonix Wright lol! To be fair, PW1 was only just released here :) Also saw Trauma Centre which I have never seen before.
Your best bet is to find it on Ebay or get lucky and find it at a GameStop/EB Games.I saw three Kirby Canvas Curse (Used) a few months ago. They are all gone as of yesterday. I was also lucky enough to score a brand new Warioware Mega Microgame$ brand new and sealed searching Ebay.Those two games alone are fun as heck.
Well then maybe I should have kept Lost in Blue for it's rarity but it doesnt outweigh how much it annoyed me :P Yeah $150 is a bit expensive for something I wouldn't play. Thanks for your help!
There's a game called Tingle's balloon fight. It will not be sold in stores you can only get it through some nintendo club and I think it's Japan only. So I guess that it's pretty rare too.

Yea I've looked in about 20 different stores. even EB games for a used one of any of those titles
Trauma Center and Phoenix wright are by far not rare at all. They have them all the time at Future shop, best Buy, and EB games. I would say Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow is somewhat rare in certain areas. I've onaly seen two, both of which are used, one of which is now mine. I think I saw electro plankton at my local EB games, and Kirby is quite rare, as such with Advanced wars. I got it used at Rogers Video.
where i live i have seen kirby canvas curse at my local circuit city and best buy, what is really rare and something i have never seen is advanced wars dual strike
