Is there any part of the country where there is a surplus of Wii's? I don't remember what the hardware sales figures for February where, but they seemed higher than they were for March. Is Nintendo shipping more of their units to Europe and Japan or something? Why the decline in sales if everywhere is still sold ou?. (as far as I know).
I live in GA and have a Wii. Everytime I go to Game Stop I see a poster saying "We have 60 gig PS3's for $599" so anyways I ask if they have any Wii's cuz Im curious, and the guys like, "No but we got PS3's.". So Im like,"Ok thanks...." Then I start crackin' up when I get out of the store.

I havent seen one on the shelf yet. I also live in a small town where stuff doesn't sell very quick. Its pretty hilarious when the day the Wii gets to our Walmart there are none left at the end of the day but there are 5 PS3s that sit there for a week.
Once. When I bought my Wii. And never again. I've not seen it anywhere. But I see PS3s all the time. At pretty much every electronics store I go to they have about 3 - 5. It's kinda sad really.
I live in GrandePraire ALBERTA Can. and i have never seen Wiis on shelves. I hav however, seen plenty of PS3. I know someone who works at a store that sells both, and he said "We had a shipment of 24 Wiis, and they sold out in four hours. We got a shipment of 12 ps3s and only sold 6 in the past 3 weeks". owned
My EB Games doesn't display consoles, they keep in them the back. When I got my Wii they had 12-15 there. That was in Feb, when I went in today to preorder Pokemon, they had some in stock, my guess it was a new shipment. I never saw one in Wal Mart (the only other store to get a console in Fort Mcmurray, Alberta).
Whats the deal here? I played it smart and reserved one for launch day. It was the first time I waited in line for a system. After that, I haven't seen one but my own not counting store displays. I feel bad for my nephew who just had his birthday and his folks still couldn't find one. Plenty of PS3s around though.
I have only seen 5, but they were selling it for 350 (US)dollars, alone no bundle or nothing, BTW is a little store that sell video games in the town were I live, duh
Only one time. I happened into a Best Buy the week after Christmas and they had just put some stock out on the shelf, about 5 of them. I had just bought a PS3 the day before so I didn't pick one up. They were there about 10 minutes before someone noticed them, then they were gone in a flash.
If I knew then what I do now, I would got one and bypassed on the PS3. Who would have imagined they would be this hard to find in April.
heh i have a frind who works at walmarts distrbution center in usa ca in porterville and he has seen about 50 just siting there in the back storage ^_^
when ever I walk into a walmart, best buy...or any big store like that I always check there wii/ps3 stock...I live in OH and go to college in CT, I have seen the PS3 a couple times but never the wii....my parents somehow got one for me for xmas
Yeah, I saw two in my local K-Mart a week ago. Went back three days later to buy one... they were gone. :-( Didn't have the money at the time I saw them. Should've known they'd be gone. EVERYONE else is ALWAYS sold out, though. Crazy. It's been five months, Jesus Christ.
On the GAME.co.uk website (which is a massive uk video game retailer) I saw Wii bundles on there yesterday just looked now and they have all gone, yet there is always a PS£ when ever I want one lol not only that there is 10+ of every PS£ bundle on the site! Oh and at my local GAME store there is always a poster for available stock of PS£ while there are absolutely no Wii's in store what so ever. So the Wii is selling brilliantly in the UK as well.

I orded mine of Gameplay 2 weeks ago when they got some in stock I did not have the money till this Tuesday yet they still held it for me lucky me. I also got the chance to pick my own pack rather than getting a fixed pack. Gameplay is a cool company to buy games from in the UK because their games are cheaper then most places and they always send your items out on time.

I'm sure I could find one if I were looking still, just drive north a little bit to a no named place and check their stores, or costco and super store, sicne they aren't greatly associated with selling Wii's... Toy's R' Us at 6am on Saturday mornings u can get one some weeks... Ebay, perhaps. But an actual box sitting in plain site? nope, never seen that.
For the last month, every store I go into there are Wiis sitting on the shelf. Sam Goody, Walmart, Costco, Sam's Club, EBgames and Gamestop. I am sorry for all of the people that still can't find them. BTW, I live in Colorado.
Everyone said I was crazy for waiting in line twice for my Wii. Once for my pre-order spot and again during the midnight launch. Everyone was like, "oh its a Nintendo system. You can just walk into any store and buy one because it's not as popular as the other systems."
Now those same people are falling all over themselves trying to find a Wii almost 6 months later! LOL.
damn man i staked out like three months ago because i had an insider tip some wher coming i packed my bag by the time i got mine and was walking out they were sold out. so this little kid was sad and his dad said how bout a ps3 and the kid sad dad are you gay or what.. major ownage
I got one on release day and have been to wal-mart and other retailers (for things ranging from games to music) and whenever I look i see a fully stocked shelf of 360s and PS3s... but I still have not seen a Wii on a shelf. This is in a suburb of Indianapolis where it is usually pretty easy to find things.

No sooner do I see one on the shelves it gets grabbed and bought the same day. It almost seems as if people are buying Wiis as they get off the loading dock and right as they are about to be put in the store. Did you hear about the guys buying these straight from the manufacturer?
On a serious note: no I have not seen any Wiis on store shelves where I live. Now that I have a Wii I can't find Wiimotes anywhere.
yup peeps are buying them like there's no tomorrow!! like i called a gamestop and asked if they had a wii and they were like "we just got a shipment 15 min ago but we're all sold out now" so i finally just called target, found out when they got their next shipment (a week from then) and just waited in line before they opened (second person :D) and got one. it was funny cause i was just like "hey u know what? i want a wii" and then a week later i got one :P
Live in Lancaster PA, near Philadelphia. Every time a store gets 'em in stock, they dont last morethan a day... and your lucky to even get info around here.... its Amish country. Wii's are hard to come by... BUT!!!! There is a leak "unconfirmed" of course that every Best Buy in the US will recieve a shipment of at least 14 consoles per store...... thry have been holding them to release this weekend. Tomorrow is the day people... just dont blame me if this turns out not to be true... but thats wut i heard... i got a link too.....
Yes there is in newjersey thats what my friend told me and 1 more thing i got Pokemon Diamond today even though it is not scheduled to be release this sunday burn!!!.
A few months ago I saw a Wii (or maybe two) sitting on the Target shelves at 10 on a Sunday morning. I thought the shortage must have been about over, but I was way wrong.
