I have never gone to a game store (Well, wal mart, best buy or futureshop (Kind of like canadian CIrcuit city...) to see they are sold out.

I Never go to EB because they ALWAYS say,"Did you preorder? Then we don't have any for you" Then I go to another store and they have about 10 copies.

The point of pre-ordering early is to make sure you get your copy first. My local GameStop has more Halo 3 pre-orders than they can actually handle so they're giving the first people who pre-ordered a copy of Halo 3 and then the second group will get theirs later, then the third and it'll go on for however long is necessary. SSBB will probably be the most successful Wii game so I didn't want to be second tier pre-orderer so I went early and made sure I'm getting mine on December 3rd, no later.
