I love it really enjoy it, and just understand the way you have to jump into it an stand up, to truely appreciate it, but my house mates have yet to be impressed yet, they play it an have a laugh, but there not blown away.

I know the answer you're looking for and how you're feeling from reading your posts in the past.
I can say that Wii sports still blows me away in controls, but honestly the game needs more longevity. Depth and longevity shouldn't be confused because there is depth to the design and it's honestly a very well put together game. They just needed to insert false acheivements and tournaments to give the illusion of progressing and winning trophies (much like any sports game)
Other than that I can say that Twilight Princess did, but not because of its controls, just for being a sublimely designed game. Otherwise, no. But nothing on my 360 has come anywhere close to blowing me away either.
The system itself is what blows me away. I was so dissapointed with the PS3 after playing the Wii that I joined the ranks of thousands who sold on ebay. The Wiimote is so far superioir than the graphics improvments between ps2 and ps3 or even outweighs graphics between xbox and 360. I think the gameplay is way more important than the graphics and nintendo finally understands that.
If it's graphics you jones, the wii will have them later, but right now the new controls are blowing me away on every game I've played except madden. Me and madden didn't get along at first, but I may be coming around.
I tend to be blown away while playing the games. I was blown away by TP midway through, convinced it was the best zelda, now I'm not so sure. Right now I would say I'm blown away by excite truck. I stayed away from the game for awhile bc of the reviews. It is a great game though. I find myself shaking and disoriented after I tear myself away from it.GunSmith1_basic
Why are you not so sure about TP? Were you influenced by a certain review or influenced by others? It was a phenomenal game. That just seems obvious to me, but then again, I'm not heavily influenced by others, and don't listen to only one review. Gamerankings for me baby.
haha when i turned on the wii it was already fun moving the cursor lol.tehsp0on
Seriously. I spent an insanely long amount of time downloading all the updates (this was before I switched the channel on my router...it goes much faster now) but in the meantime I was completely in awe of the wii remote. Seeing the cursor move when I twisted the remote, even turn upside down was awesome. And then scrolling through the menu... the slight rumble the controller made when scrolling over a button just felt exciting. Your first time playing the Wii will blow you away because it is unlike any game console you have ever played before.
Recently, I haven't been as wowed as I was originally only because the initial awe has worn off a bit. But when a game makes such inovative use of the controller I can't help but be amazed. WarioWare Smooth Moves, while short and somewhat lacking in multiplayer, serves as a model for all the wacky ways the remote can be implemented. Often times I couldn't help but pray that someone took an idea from one of those micro-games and turned them into a full fledged game.
