I bought a wii and all. Now im checking out the HD cables.

I have several TVs, i don't know if they are edtv or can hook up to those cables.

One of my TV's is a mid 90s 60+inch plasma TV. And other tv's mid size. umm my question is, if i buy these component cables will they work on my TVs? even if they aren't HD? I want to get the best image possible from my current Tvs.

thanks

If you have the inputs they'll work. Just maybe not in 480P but it's still better than the regular cables.

Well, whatever you do.......make sure you check out on the web what your t.v. is (480i or 480p); unless you have the manual that came with it, because if your t.v. is not progressive scan you're gonna have an interesting time changing the settings in the Wii back to 480i. Trust me, just because it has component video hook ups, dosen't mean it's progressive scan! PM me if you do get it stuck in progressive scan mode, I can help you get it un-stuck!

If it doesn't support it but has the inputs just leave it in I but it will look better.

If your TV has component inputs, get the cables! I was impressed with how much better the colors became. Also, if you find that progressive scan mode doesn't work, make sure you keep the old composite cables. I made that mistake once, and hooking up the old cables automatically sends it back to regular display.

component cables have three cables for video: red, green, and blue. check the back of your screen. If it has a red, green and blue input next to eacother, it supports component cable. To check whether it supports progressive scan, check your manual...

Mate, if your TV supports Component Cables...I HIGHLY recommened them. They make everything just look so much more clearer and vibrant.

yep, even if your screen does not happen to support progressive scan, the colors will be much better and the back values too with component cables.
