Not owning a Wii my knowledge is fairly limited at the moment so I was wondering if someone can help.

I was talking to someone at work (note: he has a tendancy to be a compulsive liar and make out he knows more about computers and gaming than he actually does) and I announced to him that I was thinking of buying a Nintendo Wii soon-ish. He told me he was warming to the idea of the Wii but the only thing putting him off is that they will ONLY work on HD, and not SD. And of course I don't own a HDTV as of yet, nor do I have the money to afford one.

So if I buy a Wii am I going to be greatly disappointed by the fact I wont be able to play it on my old TV set? Or is he talking a load of crap... again?

You could probably get a Wii to work on a good ol' Black 'n White Tv if you wanted to. He's lieing.
