*Looks at Brawl's update yestwerday*
They don't have one planned. Which is verystupid considering PC has voice chat in gamesfor over a decade now, and DS has had it for almost a year.
Nintendo have all the money in the world now, and they still can't be bothered with online.

What's the point of the poll? Who in there right mind would possibly want Nintendo to lack something which would just impede on their road to home console on-line support and push them back by disallowing something that's standard with all on-line enabled consoles, even PCs? The DS has voice chat, a console that has the most limited on-line multiplayer support in the history of video games, next to the Nintendo Wii. There's absolutely no reason the Wii should not have some kind of headset enabling on-line voice chat. Making these topics is just a waste of time. It's unanimous that every single person on this board wants to have voice chat in Wii games with on-line multiplayer. Sure, you can make topics about how Nintendo should go about making a usable headset, but don't waste space trying to get everyone of this board to agree with each other multiple times for something that's obviously wanted.
LOL someone actually said no, and yeah to many headsets topics just get over it and be glad Nintendo is finally getting the online going and then worry about a headset after.St_muscatSomeone is anti social lol and yeah this has been asked.....at least 40 times....at least on this site.
I voted no. I play online with the 360 and can't stand when people are talking childish or running their mouth to much. I have to turn everything off to play online Halo with my son. So when I went to play Mario Strikers with him, it was refreshing to just play the game. I am buying him his own Wii for Christmas and won't have to worry about some punk cussing at him, or making derogatory comments. I think the Wii is more family based, and leaving the option out helps FAMILYS play more games together, plus lets kids play online without worry.skelly7483
Wii has lost the hard core gamer.

No it has not. I play Metroid Prime 3 and so does my son. When he goes to bed I play Resident Evil 4. I also plan on getting Manhunt 2. The Wii is the best of both worlds, I think there is a purpose for not having a mic. Game systems don't need to just make games for hardcore gamers. The Wii is trying to bring more people into the gaming market which means a bigger indusrty for games, more unique games, and it benefits everyone. There would be no point in having 3 different systems if they all performed, controlled, and looked the same.

I actually agree with you. Kids shouldn't be subjected to a lot of the things that are said online. No voice chat for kids is a good idea. But then again, that's what Friend Codes are for. I'm a supporter of Friend Codes, it's just safer for younger gamers. Especially with games that are drawn in by young and older gamers.
Parents should feel safe to let their kids play games like Mario Strikers and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. But then you have games like Medal of Honor Heroes 2 which has ditched the FC system, a game I personally believe shouldn't be played by younger gamers. All three of these games are and will be played by older gamers but yet there's no way for us to enjoy voice chat in-game.
Personally, I like being able to hear and talk to other players. Nintendo not releasing a headset for the older and more mature gamers just isn't right. I appreciate Nintendo's concern with safety, but when I want to play a friend online I like to trash talk them, it's half the fun. Playing Super Smash Bros. with a friend online with no voice chat just isn't the same as compared to being in the same room.
Then you have games like BWii2, which I honestly can't see working online without voice-chat.
I want a headset. I'm missing half of the online experience without one. I don't care if it's only for "Friends", I want one.
actually brawl will use a msg system (see official site)BrunoBRS

Um, that's why there are parental controls on the Wii, so that point is rather moot.

Wii has lost the hard core gamer.
The 360 lost the casual gamer and the Japanese gamers. The Wii didn't lose anything if you're watching very carefully. On my wishlist, I can say Trauma Center and Dewy's Adventure to be casual games. The rest all "hardcore". Your definition of hardcore gamer ismore FPS andonline gaming. Oh yeah, for you, it must be"mature" to be hardcore. Another false reason. The vanillaware game (which it's a adventure/RPG game) disagrees.
As for the headset, I really don't care. Voice chatting on strategy games works for me however voice chatting on SSBB doesn't. If you had played on Super Smash Bros Multiplayers, you don't talk to others people. You are too much concentrated tobeat the other guy. You talk after the game not during the game.

metroid doesn't count everyone know that almost all nintendo gamers will keep playing all franchises even if they suck (i don't say it's the case) the problem is that aside from old nintendo games none of the new game uses more than 2 buttons or have graphics that doesn't look like being drawed in a kinder garden

This really isn't the topic for discussing the Nintendo's games. If you want to whine about them, do it in another thread, your blog, or better yet, don't do it at all because you don't seem to be using any logical sense or are backing up what you're saying with meaningful statistics and un-biased opinions. Plus, no one wants to read your unthought out rants anyway.
i wanted to write my opinion i didn't criticize any game i have mario strikers and metroid
the only thing i wanted to say is that when zaku101 wrote "Wii has lost the hard core gamer." i don't say it has but it's pointing more to the casual way than the guys that accompany them since they appear (i had a Nes a Gameboy and went every day for a year to play every game in the 64 in a friends houes) then another guy use metroid to refute this theory, metroid can never be a refence of a harcore game cause that "hard core game" has more than 20 years so it's not a new hardcore thing since i bought a wii i'm waiting for an actual game and no a mini one or childy one or the old nintendo franchises (that are not bad but a Mario game could never be serious i mean it's for fun only don't expect him to debate the war in Irak) are nice but nintendo needs a new "mature" game and i don't see any in the near future and nintendo fans tend to over overrate nintendo games and i don't see any game with a topic worthy of a boy with more than 10 years and when i was very young (i'm still very young) when i played FF7 and i realized no other game has so much references to religion, social differences, pollution etc ADULT TOPICS and an intelligent game not a game only clasified for grown ups with their strong lenguaje or violence, i haven't saw any Zelda even close to OCARINA OF TIME and if they say the stupid new one does it's only for the decrease of quality in the new ones that are getting more commercial as we speek and a game that doesn't last more than 15 hours could never be a hardcore
sory to post it when the topic is "do u think the wii should have a headset??" but i can't stop saying all these thinsgs when i red about it

Criticize me for my ignorance, but is there no way at all to disable hearing people on Xbox Live while playing a game?
