Helix IGN review............ wow.......

I don't think it has one redeemable quality

I don't see why anyone would waste their time on it although for the ones that did I hope they enjoy it.

I was considering picking this one up becuase of WiiWare-World's review and the developer's info video. But IGN gave it a 4.3....... people were saying it is one of the best WiiWare titles, it looks kinda silly but what do you think. I think I'm going to get Bomberman and Megaman :DWiiDS17

Who was saying it's the best WiiWare title? Best put the money towards MLaaK or LostWinds instead.

At any rate, has anyone downloaded Ys Book I & II yet? IGN gave it an 85%. Agree?

All I know is it looks kinda fun, but you'll look REALLY stupid playing it.

This game is SUPER fun, and I personally don't care if I look a little strange if I am playing a video game, especially if I'm having an awesome time. Its not like I'm going to invite a girl out for a date, and bring her over to watch me play Helix. I'm going to play the game with my friends and family.. The guy who wrote that IGN article cleary has some kind of self confidence problem.

This game is a major bargain at the $10 level, I've already played it for 30+ hours and am still getting into it. There is amazing replay value and most of the other games on Wiiware personally aren't that impressive compared to this one. There are a few I do like, such as lost winds and strongbad. Trust me guys, give this game a shot and you will love it.

Wow buddy you speak pretty highly of the game! Im just worried becuase later it looks overwhelming by looking at 2 things at the same time.

To be honest it did take me about 15-20 minutes to get used to the game system. You actually don't have to look at two things at once, you just watch one thing, the robot. Once you get down the sense of timing for the moves, the game makes a lot more sense.

I do speak highly of it, probably because the reviewer made me a little mad. You know how it feels when you really enjoy something and someone comes along and tears it down. Especially since it seems like he hasn't even played a game that I think almost anyone would enjoy.

All the best to you. Don't take this review too seriously, the guy didnt even mention the calibration mode which makes it unique to any other game on the market. Try for yourself ;)

It's a decent game. I think 8 is too high and 4.3 is way too low. For $10 it's about a 7.5. The music, if you don't mind trance/techno, is pretty good and fits well with the game. And, even at medium difficulty you get a pretty good work out. It got me sweating quicker than Dance Dance does.

One of my biggest complaints is that I know I look stupid playing it. At the same time, playing Dance Dance or singing in Rock Band makes me feel like a fool too, so I guess it's not so bad. The only other complaint is that the multiplayer aspect is rubbish. But, considering my former complaint, I don't have to worry about the latter. :D

Edit: If you don't have two remotes, it's not worth going out and buying a second remote to play it. And, playing with one remote would be pointless.
