There are tons of games worth buying for the DS. TWEWY, Zelda, Professor Layton, etc. Just search around. The dsi screen is around 3.25 inches but the dsi XL has a 93% larger screen.
I would go with the Lite. If you're looking for added features I guess go with the DSi but the Lite can play like all the games and is less expensive.
As far as other games, I haven't played that many yet (the DS is actually my son's lol) but so far LEGO Batman is the best one I've tried. That's pretty fun.
The top screen, with most games, is generally the "information" screen - for example - maps of lands health of your characters and so on. The bottom screen is the "play" screen.
I am thinking of getting a DS Lite cuz I wanna try Pokemon Heart Silver Are there any other games that are really good and worth trying? And how big are the screens on a DS Lite, and how do the two screens workMad_Banana
If you like Heart Silver make sure you also pick up Soul Gold ;P
There are plenty of games you can enjoy with the DS, all from varying genres. There's Phoenix Wright, Cooking Mama, Prof.Layton, Castlevania, Shin Megami Tensei, etc. I haven't really met a person who regretted buying a DS.
As someone mentioned, the top screen of a DS functions more like an information orcontinuation of a scene for the game that you're playing. The bottom screen is where all themagic interactionusing the stylus happens.
Screen size is hmm...I don't know the actual figures but each screen is roughly an 2 inches or more larger than an ipod screen.
I'd get a DSi, because I like it a lot more then the Lite, with the features and all... However, to me the DSi feels very cheap when it's in my hands, I prefer the build of the DSL. The bigger and brighter screens on the DSi is nice and some DSiware is cool but that's about it, the camera isn't worth much. Also, it's Heart Gold :)
