HELP! i am stuck in zelda:phantom hourglass!

i am stuck in the point that u visit the temple of the ocean king for the 3rd time, i have reached the point where you see the upside down sea chart on the sun statue, and it says: place the crest on the sea chart to transfer it! what do i do?
