Reasons to get or not get the following games on your list:
Kid Icarus Uprising - if you're under the age of 15, this would probably be your first choice. From a scale of Poor, Good, Very good, and Excellent. I would put it in between Good and Very Good. It has great charm and wonderful technical aspects and representation, but the gameplay experience itself to me feels marred by a more leaning towards a kid nature as well as some very tough controls to master, in a way that wasn't even necessary in its design. Hence, it can feel more frustrating than innovative. This would be good for a collector's item since the package itself LOOKS great, as well as the AR cards that come with it are a nice bonus (and hopefully you can get some of the rare ones in the package).
Metal Gear 3 - This looks cool as a port, but judging from reviews, the original PS2 versions (Snake Eater or Subsistence), or the PS3 port in HD (which includes MGS2) would be a better bet. If you don't own either a PS2 or PS3, I still would put your last choice above this one. The game itself while great, is sort of 2-dimensional in its design, just basically a stealth game with not TOO much action. Once you beat it there really is no reason to go back to it. There IS reason to go back to Kid Icarus, but judging from the controls and unnecessarily annoying learning curve of that game, you may not want to.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time - this is really the way to go. It contains the regular version and Master Quest (which is like the extra hard mode), and the game is INCREDIBLY diverse and one of the greatest adventure games of all time. It has charm, is multi-dimensional and will take you way longer to beat than either of the other 2 games, perhap even their lengths combined won't be as long as Ocarina of Time. This is really worth your money.
