1. For accessories, if you have a ds lite and it's uncomfortable, I'd by the DS lite charger grip, as it is comfortable

2. For games, check the stickied thread

3. Same has #2

4. Any game that has a microphone uses the headset, but it's not required, as the ds has its own microphone.

5. Your choice, but for me, I never needed it.

Also, congratulations on getting your ds, hope you enjoy your it.

I don't have a headset either. Sometimes it's handy to have one, for example travelling by train, so you won't bother others.
But when you're not much in specific surroundings then just don't buy one. Turn of the sound is also possible and most of time you're about to lowering the noice cause it ain't great at all at most games.

Get the Naki Pak, it'll keep your DS from breaking and it'll give you somewhere to put your DS, games and charger.

I always consider accessories a waste of money. But if you must, get an extra stylus or two, in case you misplace the ones that came with the system.

For games use the stickied recommendation thread.

For online, you need a wireless router or a nintendo USB port that enables wifi.

Okay, for games I recommend the following:

1. Final Fantasy Tactics A2 (a MUST HAVE if you're into RPG's, this will come out in 1-2 days, its amazing in my opinion [from past experience with its prequels, and you don't have to play the other ones to understand this one).

2. The World Ends With You (another RPG MUST HAVE)

3. New Super Mario Bros.

In the case of accessories, I bought the headset (I think that the games that mostly use it are the Pokemon ones, but present [and eventually future] games should use the microphone features of the headset (I like it, its fun to use while playing DS games), but if you're not into video games that use the microphone then don't buy it (unless you're like me and like the cool feeling of wearing it, its a nice accesory in my opinion).

I also recommend that you purchase a good case for your DS and screen protectors (at least one for the bottom screen if you use the stylus a lot and are afraid of scratching it).

Hope this helps, Sincerely:

-V
