Help With 3DS update!

so mods plz don't lock this read the entire post first please!

SO I have a 3DS and my cousin was over. He's decided to be stupid and try out his stupid flash cartrige thingy for pirating games on DS in my fairly new 3DS when I wasn't looking. I read somewhere on the internet that next time I connect to the internet or update the system it will brick because of something nintendo did with the firmware! is this true? what should I do?

Contact Nintendo regarding the matter. That's as far as I can say really.

EDIT: Well there are several solutions (aside from turning all internet communications off for the time being)

1. Trade it for another 3DS and don't ever let it anywhere near your cousin again.

2. Have all internet communication off and play it without it.

3. Contact Nintendo and explain the situation.

No it wont brick your 3DS, simple answer.

As far as I know flash cards don't modify the 3DS in any way and they usually show up as a regular game when you view your records/history. In other words, you'll be fine.

yea that true, i hav an asian 3ds and it came with a 40 game in 1 cartridge. it had many ds game mario cart, pokemon, new super mario, mario 64 etc etc all great games. but when i updated my 3ds that cartridge stopped working and i get an error whenever i tried that cartridge. everything else works fine tho.

not it wasmt, it came bundled with my 3ds, not my problem :P
