Here are all the DS reviews from the latest Nintendo Power

I will start from the highest reviews:

Prism: Light the Way -- 8.5
Developer: Morpheme Game Studios
Publisher: Eidos

According to GS, this is an action game, set to be released Sept. 4th. However, according to the review, it is more akin to the Puzzle genre. I'm not sure what this game is about though, and i can't find any place that actually gives a full summary on this game. I'd recommend keeping an eye on this one though, at it took the top spot in Nintendo Power for DS games this month.

Picross DS -- 8.0
Developer: Jupiter
Publisher: Nintendo

A puzzle game set for release July 30th (today!). Too confusing to really explain what it is about. Apparently there was a game for the Game Boy called Mario's Picross, but it went largely unnoticed. Check out what GS has to say for more info. Seems like a good puzzle game in an over-crowded genre.

Touchmaster -- 8.0 (GS Review - 7.5)
Developer: PhoenixSoft
Publisher: Midway

Another Puzzle game. It is ALREADY RELEASED so go pick up a copy. A series of touch-screen minigames is what it is. Although it appears shallow, it actually has a large amount of depth. "But once you spend time with it, you'll see that what TouchMaster lacks in bells and whistles it makes up for in variety." Check it out people.

Luminous Arc -- 8.0
Dev: Imageepoch/Marvelous Interactive
Publisher: Atlus

Set for release Aug. 14, finally a non-puzzle game! This is a Strategy-RPG. The character's are well developed and they help drive an intriguing story that deals with topics of faith and religion. Apparently, the music is excellent though, some of the best on the DS. If you like SRPGs, pick it up, NOW.

Pet Alien -- 8.0

Pub: The Game Factory

Pet Alien is a 3D Platformer based off of the show. I'm not sure what to say about this one. You play as multiple characters, each with his/her own strengths and weaknesses. You do various platform-puzzle solving and what-not. It is controlled mostly by the Control Pad and buttons, but the stylus is used to in unlockable mini-games. If you like the TV show, this is a no-brainer. If you want a platformer, you just might want to check this out. It released July 30th (TODAY) so check it out now.

Race Driver: Create and Race -- 7.5
Dev: Firebrand Games
Pub: Codemasters

"Every now and then a game breaks free from the pack and laps the field. Mario Kart DS is clearly the cream of the crop when it comes to DS racing, but Codemaster's recent entry brings to the starting line a winning formula that's worthy of a test drive." You create your own tracks and race on them. It is easy to use and apparently "one of the most robust editors ever offered on a handheld title." If you are bored with Mario Kart, get this. It released Sept. 4th also.

Getting any of these? I think i may pick up Picross DS sometime.

A shame about Heroes of Mana, but mediocre scores seem to be the norm.

Great post though, too bad nothing there interests me in the least. Oh well, maybe next month.

I wanna know what's wrong with Race Driver. They gave it a 7.5 but didn't point out anything they disliked about it. :/metroidfood

Well, a 7.5 isn't a BAD score, it is suppose to be a good score. But i guess the game didn't stand out enough. They dont have a lot of room to write the review, so they didn't say too much. But what they said was positive. They didn't say anything bad about it at all. I guess it wasn't innovative enough outside of the create track part.

Hmm.. I think I might check out heroes of mana, it didn't look like a 6/10 game.
