Hey guys, First off i own an xbox360 as my next gen system, thats my number one console of choice.

However, i have always always always been a nintendo fan since the days of yore. (mario+link ftw)

Anyway, the main reason i dont own a wii is because they have always been out of stock. But in the last few weeks my local best buys and eb games have had plenty in stock to buy but I have for some reason been reluctant to get one. True its only 250$ but honestly the only thing that makes a console either justified or not justified is the ammount of games i lke that are for it.

The total number of games that are for the wii that i am interested in is:

RE4

Mario Galaxy

Super Smash Brothers

Zelda Tp

Metroid

I really dont care about tony hawk downhill jam, or rayman raving rapids or anything like that. Like i said, i am a devout 360 fan and the only reason i REALLY want a wii is so i can play those select few games that make nintendo the best videogame company ever made.

Long story short i have a friend who will sell me:

A Wii, with all controllers and cables

2nd nunchuck and controller

zelda tp

HD cables

all for 300$. I think im gonna go for it but i was wondering what you wii owners think.

I'd say that's a pretty good deal, depending on the condition of the console and, as the previous poster mentioned, if he downloaded any VC games. Even better since you were obviously planning on buying TP anyway and if you have an HD TV.

Go for it.

I sold my Wii, simply because the items for it were too expensive. I already own/owned an Xbox 360, and I found it to draw my attention a lot more. The Wii, however, seemed fun for the first while. Trying out the new controller, games and such. But in the long run, I prefer my Xbox over it any day, which is why I sold it.

But, things are more expensive in Denmark than in the US. Games are as expensive, if not more in some cases, than the Xbox 360. Also, the extra controllers and all the other things you need/want is tooway too expensive.

If you've got enough money, and are willing to sacrifice a couple of Xbox games for some Wii games, then go ahead. It's fun for a while, but imo, the fun ran out. I didn't play it for months and then I sold it.

Well i mean I am the kind of person that if when i was walking down the street and someone randomly came up to me and asked me what does the Cain of Byrna do ? and where can i get one? I would calmly inform him that it will supply him with a protective shield and it can be found on death mountain in dark world.

While i love 360, There is only one way i can get my Link on and thats with a Wii, so i kind of NEED to get one.

Go for it! I own a PS3 and a Wii and I find both consoles offe different experiences. Furthermore you say you're a Nintendo oriented guy of yore: the Virtual Console is bound to offer you some great moments of nostalgia. Only a couple of bucks (or euro's in my case) will get you the games you used to enjoy when you were younger and gaming just got of the ground.

Unless it's in bad shape, that's a pretty good deal.

Get it. You'll love it. The combination of Wii and 360 should give you a wealth of good gaming for years. I have a Wii and am thinking about getting a 360.

I have had a wii since 1 min after it came out, and i am not disipointed yet. MP3 has kept me entertained for many hours, i have beet it 3 times, and still is an amazing game, TP is also an amazing game, have beet it twice (once 100%). just for those 2 games its worth it. Also Super mario strikers is also good and i like the online play RE4 is way better on the wii than ps2 or GC, with and extra bonus play, called seperate ways, were you play as ada. WIi is better than worth it. My bro has an Xbox 360, so i play it every so often, but i still say Wii is better

I've had the Wii for almost 4 months now. I think it's a great investment. Of the games you listed, I would also consider Super Paper Mario and Godfather. I'm currently playing Godfather and it's a blast....GTA style with great controls. Also, while you're waiting for more Wii games to be released, you can enjoy all of the Gamecube games that you missed out on. You can buy most of them used for really cheap.

I like mine but as of right now the thing I like the most is I can go back and play all the good games I missed. I did not own an N64 or Game Cube, which going back and playing Metroid Prime and Zelda OoT have been worth the purchase in and of itself. If you have plenty to play right now on your 360 I would postpone buying a wii until the price drops (it will happen, it always happens). By then all the games you want to play will be $20 and you will save a lot more money. Just my thoughts.

It's worth it definitely.

Zelda is sweet, the VC is pretty cool, but it mostly reminded me how **** alot of games I used to like

are. The only problem I have with it is the lack of games right now. Everyone says, " METROID PRIME 3!!!!"

honestly it just doesn't interest me. Anyway, get it. It's a great system, you won't regret it.

By Christmas you will have these games to play.

Zelda: Twilight Princess (which is unbelievably good)
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (also, fantastic)
Smash Brothers Brawl (http://www.smashbros.com) trust me, that'll be.. wow
Super Mario Galaxy (the previews for this game have been nothing but really good, and that they can't get enough)

Those 4 major Wii franchises are more than enough to get the system.
