I have some question to ask you. I have a Wii since the first day it became available and i have always had a little doubt,it makes a clicking noise when you first insert a game, the same clicking noise happens when when returning to the menu from a game. The other thing i would like to know may sound silly but hope you guys help, recently i took a look at the bottom ofmy SmashBros Brawl disc and some of my older games and found that they have a circular mark at the center, it's not a scratch it's just a circular mark at the center were the ring that holds CD's and DVD's ina Laptop disc drives touch.

1. Is the cliking noise normal (only happens when inserting and returning to the menu)?

2. What about those circular marks at the botom center of the games (remember it is not a scratch?

Mine makes a very noticeable "clack" when it starts to spin a disc. Works fine.

Sancroff
Mine too, but it has a further problem. Every so often, the disc does not really track properly, and you can hear my drive struggling to locate where it's looking for. I usually have to eject and try again. I've just learnt to live with it...

My Wii clicks too, and it works just fine. Never really checked my discs for rings though.

The clicking noise is perfectly normal. I know exactly what you are talking about.

The second one, I have no idea.

Yeah, if the Wii's disc drive is ringing your discs, that's a problem. If the rings are over places where there's no data, you can get by, but it's still not normal.

Here is a wikipedia.com pic of a Wii Discthis to explain the mark in a better way:

The mark i'm talking about is atthe second circle in the middle were i have marked the image. It's a circular mark, for me it seem like a read mark. They are more noticeable in older games that have been play most.

You mean that black circle near the center? That's from the manufacturing process, I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes i'm refering to the black circle i'd made in the image, when the games were new it wasn't very noticeable but after time an a lot of use it becomes more visible. So this is normal and get more noticed after the game is old and more used?

I wouldn't worry about it. It's not anywhere near the data.

Teh Hamsters are too loud on the Wii. But it's really nothing to worry about, it just means that The Wii is working. lol.
