Right now I'm stuck trying to extract the Virus out of 5 patients in 10 minutes.. I'm not fast enough I'll tell you that.

... I find it's best to actually go at it like an operation. Lay the DS on a flat surface, and go at it with two styli.

it's definitely on the hard side. i pretty much keep getting C's on almost all operations i've gone through so far. i stopped playing the game on the level where you need to dismantle the bomb.

on a side note........does anyone have trouble putting on gauze at the end of an operation? i can get to the end of the operation, do the necessary suturing, and apply the antibiotic gel....but the game never recognizes the gauze that i put on even when i know for sure i'm covering the entire wound......and my score winds up getting affected because of that.

You kind of have to learn to do things quickly and somewhat haphazardly to have a ot of success.

I also have the same problem but i manage to put it on the right place already. Its annoying in the first few tries in putting the gauze but if you try and try, you'll get it. Trauma Center is quite hard game, it needs concenration and PATIENCE because you'll keep on trying in some levels of the game.

 One of the things I loved about this game was the difficulty aspect, it gave me an actual challenge. If you keep practicing, you can get really fast.

I've never really gotten why people have trouble with that. Guess it's one of those things you either get or you don't.

That game drove me mad. Got to the final operation but got no further.

Yeah... you gotta keep zappin' the patient with the green juice, keep 'em alive... that, and remember the Healing Touch. This was one of the first titles I got for the DS because it uses the touch screen so much. My only problem so far is getting the magnifier to work accurately... I draw the little circle but it gives me the "BRRRRPT!" sound efx like I made a mistake. I don't have any problems with the accuracy of the gauze at the end of an operation, but suturing is sometimes a bit more sloppy that I think I deserve, too.

For those interested, there seems to be another surgury sim coming out soon for the DS, I don't know if it's a direct sequel though, or someone trying to "Brain Age/ Big Brain Academy/ Brain up your !*!"-type ride coat-tails on such a great game idea.

My girlfriend jokes around and uses that nurse's voice calling me "Dr. Stiles"... heh heh... it's kinda sexy.

Try drawing a 'C' instead of a circle when magnifying, it works much better.

That is kinda kinky...unless she really has it for him...then it's creepy.

Agreed with the OP - in fact I think they probably turned some people off of this game because of the insane time limits. They should have easy/medium/hard which would decrease the time limits at the harder difficulties.

Hey man... it's saving a human LIFE! There's no time limit settings in a hospital!!!
(joking) :D
Thank you for the tip on the magnifier, that's right-neighborly of you I really appreciate it. I haven't been able to get better than a "C" rating either, by the way. One of the things I wish you could turn off in the Challenge mode where you can replay the various proceedures is the nurse's tips & interruptions. Half of my uptightness comes from her getting in the way and having to hit the "Call!" node on the touch screen.

Another thing, if you spread the gel (even when there is nothing to specifically to spread it on) you'll stabilise your vitals. Not as effective as a shot but it is quicker and a good habit to get into when either you run out of shots or for when you only need minor boosts.

i cant believe you guys are having so much trouble the on with 5 patients you just have to stay calm cause i always beat it with like 30sec. but when i get anxious i always miss and the bomb one was easy you just gotta look at the wires for like 30sec. cause the end only takes like 5sec. i think you guys just gotta keep calm while playing and don't use 2 stylus thats dumb and cheating. right now im stuck on 1st sin but thats cause i haven't operated on kyriaki for so long. it gets haed around there but youre skill level should be good enough so it feels normal.

Cheating? If surgeons get to use both hands, I get to with my surgery simulator. Don't be jealous of my ambidexterous nature.

In any case, that final wire is far to small and sensitive to cut, even with a well calibrated screen it is a bit too much.
