I have it standing up. I contemplated putting it on it's side to play some GC games but I found a wavebird for $25 Canadian at Blockbuster the other night.
horizontal... its pretty low to the ground already but if it fell, it would do more damage if it was standing up... since its horizontal, itll kind of just slip out and remain flat i only have one wavebird so having it horizontal is a must when playing multiplayer gamecube games/ VC games because it looks wierd with controllers coming out vertically
mine is vertical, horizontal does not necessarily mean better cooling, if the wii is laying flat on its side it cannot displace heat as well as if it is standing. the heat gets trapped between the flat surface and the wii, keeping the heat there. keep that in mind. just dont want anybody with busted and overheated wiis.
Vertical cos it looks cool and the writing is round the right way, btw what's the clear plastic bits for you get with your Wii? The thing that kinda looks like a disc but its not? You know the one.
