I really like it. I'm just about halfway through chapter 8. I keep putting off finishing it because I don't want it to end! I really hope there will be a sequel. Has anyone heard any news about that? It does seem as though some of it will be left open-ended.
I was kinda expecting hotel dusk to be like Professor Layton which had more puzzles (A game I would defintely recommend if you liked dusk). I thought dusk's story was good too. Pheonix wright is also another good series in the same genre.
I wasn't too sure about it at first but after I bought it I really got into it. I think it is a very fun game. I am about half way through chapter 4 and I am hooked.
It's my favorite DS game to date. Considering buying a new copy since I lost my original game. :D If you like that, you'll like Trace Memory (Made by the same dev before Hotel Dusk, not as good but still fun) or Time Hollow. Interestingly enough I don't care for Phoenix Wright.

Yeah I have the game, love games like that lol. Never played it enough of course...perhaps if i go off to college one day I will have the time to work on these games, and feel right in place doing so.
Hotel Dusk struck a chord with me because of it's similarities to Snatcher, which is my very favorite game of all time. What can I say? I love text adventures with depressed, down on their luck, middle-aged, hard asses.
I would stab a man to death for a sequel of Hotel Dusk on the Wii.

you need to finish it again(on the same saved game) to get the secret ending, sadly its not what we expected.....

I've been playing this game like crazy as of late. I brought a copy of the re-issue on its release and I'm on chapter 6 right now. The story is pretty awesome and I like the fact that the game is an interactive story. I thought there would be a few more puzzles but it's been lots of fun as is.
Maybe it's my second or third favorite game (I can't decide yet), it's very enjoyable, and the story it's so well written that more than a game It's a great mistery book
I don't understand the love for this "game" - its not a game, its a book. Very little gamplay, TONS of reading. I guess if you like reading stories you'll like this game...when I sit down with my DS I want to "play" something, not read something.
