Is it me, or is this one of the best adverture games ever released for the DS? Granted, I haven't played much on the DS besides Pokemon, but I borrowed this title a few years ago from a friend and was mesmerized by it. Now I want to play it again, but of course, I returned it to my friend quite a while ago.

It's a pity there aren't any more good adventure games on the DS.

Personally it's my favorite DS title and one of my favorite Adventure titles of all time.

Having played a lot adventure games, I'd say its not quite close, but certainly a great one, best DS offering for sure. The game is just slow paced for a lot of the time, running around breaks up the pacing.

I haven't played many old-school PC adventure games, but from what I've played Hotel Dusk is among the best.

I haven't played Hotel Dusk, admittedly. For me it has some tough competition, mostly from the first two Broken Sword Games and the First Two Monkey Island games.

You should give the Longest Jorney, DreamFall: the Longest Jorney and Grim Fandago a try. (also the Monkey Island games)

I tried playing the first Broken Sword but was put off by the main character. He looks like a sneering goblin. How good is Broken Sword?

It is good and and of my fav DS titles but best ever? it is up against legends here (Grim Fandango, The Longest Journey, Monkey Island 2, Day of the Tentacle etc)

For the record I can only really stack it up next to something like A Vampyre Story... I dont even think Hotel Dusk:215 goes near Machinarium, its the actual puzzles itself where Hotel Dusk falls short.

For the DS, it's probably the best.

But when you factor in Grim Fandango, The Longest Journey, and others titles like these, it takes a huge fall.

I think that his noir atmosphere is the best, through.

They made a sequel to Hotel Dusk but the company is gone now so I doubt it will be brought overseas.

Cing isn' t gone completely yet but they did file bankruptcy. As for the Hotel Dusk sequel it is coming out to Europe (as for anywhere else overseas IDK yet)

It was a good game. I enjoyed the puzzles in the game more than some of the dialog elements though. The game didn't really climax like the games of old though like shadow gate, the uninvited, manic mansion (does that fix the genre? maybe) though... I liked the first Professor Layton more than Hotel dusk just because of many more abundant puzzles and such.
