When we have so much stuff to look forward to?

Super Smash Brothers Brawl

Super Mario Galaxy

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games

RE4 Wiimake

Pokemon Battle Revolution ( Looks REALLY cool )

Metroid Prime 3

Resident Evil Umbrela Cronicles

Even more VC games

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl

We have all of this to look forward to and more depending on your taste, including what we already have on the market. I think a new day is dawning for Nintendo and things are finally starting to turn around to the way they used to be. The third party support is growing, and Nintendo is making better use of their exclusive licenses than ever. Am I the only one who's excited?

Thats weird, because a friend of mine kept his Zelda in a dirty drawer without a case from launch until recently and it still works.

Oh well thats fine, all the same, I'm sure with the growing third party support and their introductions of new titles you're bound to find quite a few games you'll like. :)

That's exactly the problem, we have so much to look forward to, but right now we have practically nothing. When I bought a Wii, I shouldve thought about that I would have to play on it for the next 6+ months after beating TP. To make things worse, I didn't like TP, so now its basically a dust collector.

Oh well, these games will eventually come out, I just hope the delays are really worth it.

New console launches are always troublesome for the first year or so, I remember I had it MUCH worse when I bought a 360 at launch. Imagine the same selection, but no Zelda-quality title.

I can complain because yes, we have these games to look forward too, but we have little to nothing now.  I waited in line on launch day, for what?  Zelda?

I'm sorry, but Zelda and a bunch of party games have let me down.  Big time.

Its because people want Nintendo to announce Wii sports 2, Wii music, and a whole plethora of innovative Wii titles that they foolishly believe are not video games, but rather Wii supplements (the same way special features are not part of a movie).  The market does not want innovation, they want renovation.  If Nintendo would realize that, then it would shut up critics about calling the Wii a fad.

I however, am really excited about all the cheap games coming down the shute, and recently picked up Trauma Center:SO because I loved how well that game worked on Wii.  I'm still on edge about Metroid Prime 3, but i bought the first one for 4 bucks so that I have an idea as to what was going on.

Don't forget about Harvest Moon, Nights, Boogie, and i dunno, Megaman?

to Khnemu23 who said he had basically played none of the nintendo games there, and said that galaxies was the only one he's hyped about...

you need your head checked! go play those games, every one of them you said you hadn't played are some of the most influential games series in the history of games! well if you count metroid prime as metroid...

I know man, and I can see where you're coming from, I'm just trying to look on the bright side here. Plus, Paper Mario just launched and SSX Blur has been on the market for awhile, both are very good games in my opinion. Also, this is as a Nintendo fan in general, the DS has plenty of quality titles aswell as Pokemon D/P coming out in a week. I think given the circumstances, Nintendo is doing an excellent job of providing a little now and a lot for the future.

Every consoles had a drought. All people here complain about that Wii is the only console that has a drought. The PS3 really sucks (that's maybe one reason why the GameBoy Advance outsells the PS3 every months. The other reason that I'm think is the price) right now and the 360 if you're a fan of shooters you may play on it but it's also in a drought of variety. Also, people who want to sell Wii and rebuy it later, well these people suck very hard and need psychological help because these people are not worth to be gamers.

I can't complain right now since I don't have my Wii but even if I have it I would not complain. Video games is supposed to be a hobby not a complete life.

Why don't you have your Wii yet bud? Haven't been able to find one or you just haven't gotten enough money together yet? If its the former, I hear that a lot, which makes my 12 hour wait in the blistering cold for one seem like nothing. :P

I suggest for you to buy Super Smash Bros Melee and Metroid Prime. It will give you a good idea for the sequels.

Nintendo is waiting for the right time to launch their games, which is understandable. They blew all their big guns at once with the Gamecube and had a long drought because of it, right now they're just keeping people pacified with solid titles like Paper Mario until the time is right. Trust me when I say that SMG and SSBB are within a few months of being done, the only thing left is marketing strategy.

You could be right, but I'm guaranteeing you that Mario Galaxy won't come out until Oct, Nov, or Dec in order to help sell Wiis for the Holidays, and I doubt we will see Brawl anytime before September.

1. Let me guess it's a Resident Evil game.  If you only have 1 game on your wishlist, I suggest to sell your Wii. I would not buy a console for only 1 game that's why I'm not buying the Xbox 360. Blue Dragon is only my 360 wishlist and even it could be deleted because if the anime has the same story from the game, it's bye bye the 360.

As for the PS3, there's 0 games right now.

I've kind of mapped up a potential strategy in my head, and here's how it works:

Brawl - Late summer/Early fall.

Mario - Late fall/Christmasish.

Metroid - Spring

Other big name third party titles - Late spring/early summer.

That seems like a legitimate strategy to me and gives Nintendo a good time frame to keep a solid line of games on the market consistantly, something they've had problems doing in the past. Also, don't be too surprised to see them unveil that they're working on another Zelda game sometime next year, because the Wii needs its on exclusive Zelda. We probably won't see it until 2009ish, maybe 2010, but the fact that it's in the works will create a lot of buzz.

I can't wait for the big guns from Nintendo to drop.

I don't get people who say that. just look at the user reviews for the wii games, there are a bunch of good games out there already. It pretty much cover every style. Plus there's a good number of vc titles.

I wanted RE:UC util I saw the gameplay, I knew it was going to be an on rails shooter, but it looks way to messed and buggy.

Im looking foward to SSBB, Metroid, Galaxy, RE remake. Thats abot it.

P.S. Nights looks gay it reminds me of Kindom Hearts.

HolyCheesus

obviously you've never played kingdom hearts... i don't know i've never played nights but i've heard it was a really adictive game :P

JzkBoxer

*clears throat*

Mercury Meltdown Revolution

Mario Party 8

Guitar Hero 1 and 3

Heatseeker

 Final Fantasy CC: Crystal Beares

Hary Potter 5

Project HAMMER

SD Gundam

Dragon Quest Swords

Battalion Wars 2

Project Treasure Island Z

I could imagine some Nintendo fans would complain seeing that none of those game are here.  especialy when you consider that Nintendo was going on about how certain couple of them were going to be launch titles.

Plus, you gotta have specific tastes to like some of the games you named

So I do hear Nights is fun, but I just rented PoP Rival Swords, and man it was terrible.

Im only looking foward towards little games because I only get one game every six months. (christmas, birthday)

Can't wait till I get a job!

I'm only really looking foeward to about 4 titles out the entire Wii list so far. But I'm interesting in many such as Godzilla, Metroid Prime 3, Resident Evil UC, Treasure Island Z and Thor.
