Hi. I bought the Wii for some games that i really wanted [Okami, Super Galaxy/Paper/ De blob, etc...] a few months ago... They all really awesome. But im getting so mad when people start to insulting the Wii for.. really no good reason. How do you deal with this kind of people, do you answer them back, ignoring them? Im playing FPS [this is my favorite genre], but im also playing the Wii, and i cant understand where all this hate comes from..
You have your opinion, who cares if people say the wii sucks. It isn't hindering your gaming experience, and there are loads of gaming communities that hold "Wii" lovers.

The haters come from the gamers who hate exercise, or rather the people that come home from work or whatever they do and would rather relax with a standard controller in their hands then wave their hands around. So, as already stated, just ignore them, and enjoy your wii and whatever you choose to play on it.
after realizing my friends are complete ignorants, i decided to pretend i'm not listening to them. they used to call the wii "ridiculous waggling thing", but now they're full of themselves, because now their 360 has motion sensing. do the same as i do: tell them they're not worth your time and enjoy your wii/PS3/X360 (what? you can like games from other platforms)
I personally dont have anything bad againts others consules. On the Wii i can play games that the PC dont have. [i like PC the most], The games of other consules i can also have on my PC..[i wont buy a consule if i can get this game for my PC.. or a consule that have only 1-2,or only 3 games that the PC dont have]... But as i said, im not hate the PS3/XBOX360.
The best thing you can do is continue to show how much you're enjoying the system that you're playing and continue to support, if that's your desire to do so. People are going to like what they like and dislike what they don't. I agree that the hatred surrounding the Wii is really absurd, but hey, if people want to continue to waste their time hating the thing, that's on them. There's really no point in trying to spark an arguement or anything, so just take the opportunity to have fun. :P
the same way I deal with wii lovers or fanboys of anything else (console or game) I ignore them... Or what you think taht wii lovers are different.... even on this forum you can see the topic of... "X company hates us" ..."this delay was so unfaired" "this game is better in the wii" "the wii version got a better score bc X %#@%" ..and so on... 1. is bussiness 2. is just happen to work better 3. all consoles are good in something is your decition to pick what something you are looking forward to... I have a theory.... one planet with zillion of head, thx god we all think and like different stuff... :P
oh thats easy..i just hunt them down and kill them....wait i rpobably shouldnt have said that :P. depends on the person. with some there can be civil debate on why its great or its terrible. it can be fun (thats what SW is SUPPOSED to be about) but there are some people who can not be reasoned with in any shape or form...their zealots basically. console X is the best and anything else is filth and has absolutely no merit what so ever. games on that console are just better because there made by company X and are on console X. there is no room for reason..no debate.....no room to look beyond console X to see what other games are elsewhere that may or may not be better. these people are best just ignored.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I think the Wii is great. But to deal with other console fanboys, I just ignore it. I have encountered too many Wii-haters though. I usually get the fanboys who think that girls shouldn't play video games. I was at a Gamestop recently to get a game and I had a guy get in my face and say "You're a girl, you shouldn't be here! Girls don't play video games!" There were other girls shopping there and a girl working the counter. It got so bad that my boyfriend had to step in.

Just ignore them.
The vast majority of people who insult the Wii are just insulting it to make themselves feel good as 'hardcore gamers'.
Don't let them rain on your fun... :) Remember that everyone has their own opinion- and their opinions don't have to affect yours.
Luckily, this hasn't happened to me in real life. My buddies have a blast playing Brawl when they're here and we also have a good time playing Street Fighter IV when we're at some other dude's place who happens to have a 360. We're all hyped for Tatsunoko vs Capcom, and when I showed the guy who had a 360 a Monster Hunter Tri trailer, he told me that it looked extremely cool, and asked me if the game was going to have local co-op, because he couldn't wait to play it here.
Then again, we are all in our late 20s... Fanboyism kind of seems to be a teenage thing, no offense to those of you who are teenagers and aren't fanboys. :)
and they'll show street fighter 4, soulcalibur 4, marvel VS capcom 2... point at mario/zelda/metroid if you wanna mention something they really dont have anything close... they'll probably still mock you with their own great games. in other words, trying to defend yourself with exclusives will only make the discussion last even more.
All the hate comes from the fear that these hardcore fanboys have that the future of gaming will become more casual-focused rather than couch-potato focused.

I ignore them because they are obvously covering up for there consoles of choice's weakness. I have the time to wait untill the Wii's libary is as good as the DS's libary. Pointing out there consoles weakness makes them talk more so I advise not doing it.

I had a Wii for about 2 1/2 years and finally got totally fed up with the lack of quality games (quit living in denial, its got: mario galaxy, mario kart wii, smash bros, metroid,Legend of Zeldaand world of goo...that's it forreally goodgames). After seeing the dissappointing line-up at E3 this year, I finally gave up on the wii and bought a PS3 about a month ago-if you can afford it, do it, you won't regret it.

I got kinda ashamed/embarrassed, because I agreed with a lot of the things they were saying. I really couldn't back the Wii up, it has its shortcomings at that's that. All I can do is continue to like the Wii for the things what I like about it.

for example we ignore this guy , because we know there are dozens of fantastic games out (better than the ones he could name)and more announced. So we know hes just an angry fanboy (who never had a wii ).Or someone who has no idea what games the wii has.Either way, you have the knowledge ,they dont.
I just ignore people who insult the Wii. I own both a Wii and a PS3 and I love 'em both equally. The funny thing is, 95% of people who insult the Wii are exclusive 360 owners, and about 95% of exclusive 360 owners didn't start gaming until Halo came out so they really shouldn't be dissing anything. Hardcore Nintendo gamers are the wisest of all gamers and have been gaming the longest.

No wonder you are having such a bad time. You got convinced that there was no good third party games. In reality there is about as many good third party games as there is first party. They are just harder to find because they don't need to be hyped up to block buster level to sell so the "review" sites would refuse to tell you about them because they don't think they got there cut.

like i said, they'll say "zelda + what? and we have *insert some great games for the PS3/360*". doesnt work that way. you cant beat a stupid person pretending you're also stupid. they're pros at it. just ask them what the wii has that is so bad but the other consoles dont.
Personally TC, find out why they are bashing the Wii. Are they right? If not then just ignore them. The important thing is you are enjoying what you are doing.
