I'm just curious to see how you guys would rate the top 5 Zelda games. I personally have not played all of the Zelda Games. I've played all of them except Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and the original Zelda for NES. I'm guess Ocarina of Time is gonna get the top slot from most people, but this could be interesting. So, how do you rate em?

I've only played the console Zeldas, not the handhelds. Here are my favorites, based solely on how much I liked them. I think they are all great games but my list is probably going to look a little different than others. I liked Zelda II a lot better than most people and didn't like LttP as much as most people.

1. Ocarina of Time
2. Majora's Mask
3. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
4. The Legend of Zelda
5. Wind Waker
6. Link to the Past
7. Twilight Princess

It's hard for me to put them in a rank. But I have only played 6 of them. So rather than ranking them I'll tell you why I liked/disliked them. Zelda 1: Can you say second quest? To this day I'm yet to see a game you can play through twice using the same world map and get a completely new experience. Limited controls and blocky, but for it's age nothing better! Zelda 2: A continuation of Zelda 1. The whole map of Zelda 1 is found in the bottom left of the world map. The side scrolling turned off a LOT of people. Magic was cool. Most of the items were rehashes of items from Zelda 1 used in different ways. I actually like this one. A different experience, both in playablity and environment, from every other Zelda game. Zelda 3: Coming from the playing the original two I was disapointed that this comes off more as a remake than a continuation. Once I accepted that though, to this date it is my favorite because it elimated the 'blocks' of games past. Light and dark maps. More puzzles, items, than ever. OoT: Intro to new races, locations, bigger areas, 3D. Unfortunately another 'rewritting' of the legend though that voids most of the first three games or duplicates it IMO. It is a 'legend' though after all. I wish I could squash that darn farrie! This game helped define what to expect from 3D console gaming and as such is a Gamer requirement to play and learn from. But from a Zelda perspective it rehashed or defined things differently that I had imagined myself growing up that it isn't my favorite zelda game. Zelda Minish Cap: It felt like Zelda 3 all over again from a play perspective. The Hat is annoying, but at least Link has one now. It was fun to play Big and Small in the same worlds. The shells thing was ANNOYING for us completeness freaks. WW: eh. Between kids needing tissues and the graphics style. I would have to say my least favorite of all. Every new way to interact with the environment seemed like a knock off from a previous zelda game. So when I try to rank these, it would definately be based on technical expertise, story line, expectations, based on the order I played them.

I rate the Zelda series as possibly the best game series ever. But I have only ever played the GC and N64 games.

So my top 4 would be:

1.Ocarina Of Time

2, Majoras Mask

3. Twilight Princess

4.Wind Waker

I have recently ordered Phantom Hourglass of Ebay, so that will go on the list.

I also bought Link To The Past on GBA yesterday, and so far its a pretty good game.

OCARINA OF TIME WII REMAKE FTW!!!!!

I loved each of them, but that's how I see it.

As for Phantom Hourglass, I'll let you know when I'm done with it.
