I'm pretty sure the save option is on the menu, I remember it been there on the original version. I would check and let you know, but the kind people at Nintendo decided to f*** over Europe once again and not give us the game.

Yeah, how about you look at the time/date I posted that, oh and FYI, GameSpot is a day behind us. i hate that, now we dont have the E3 videos and rumor is its because they need to be translated to all European languages to remain fair, screw that gimme my content.
