why the hell would u take it apart in the first place? if its already working, then dont mess with it, especially if u have no idea what ur doing. ur wasting valuable gaming time.

I can only think of a few reasons why you'd take it apart in the first place. But if you are asking how to do it, my advice would be don't.

Don't risk it. You have barely anything to gain and everything to lose

I just want my Wii to be different than all the others and its not been done yet i could be the first but i might just stick to painting and not take it all apart.

Does it matter if it looks different? At the end of the day, you're not going to be taking it around with you for peopel to admire. It plays games the same so I wouldn't risk just voiding the warrenty like that

No offense there, but if you can't figure out on your own how to open it without damage, then you are going to have a real hard time adding (much less changing the SMD parts) LED's or any other case mods.
That being said, if you really are interested you might find detailed info if you just use google to search.  There are several detailed reports up.
Do let us know when you've ruined your Wii though, it's designed to be a pretty tight squeeze, you don't have space like you do in a PC.

Apply a sledgehammer

As for putting it back together, you did not ask, so I can not answer :D
