I really liked the other animal corssing games, but all the cheaters made it not worth it to play. So how do you think the game might prevent you from just skipping ahead getting all holiday items and selling them then doing it again?

Why did the cheaters affect you at all? Just don't do it and enjoy the game.

Hmm, I suppose the only thing they could do is add something similar to what they did in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold/SoulSilver, in which if the system had it's time/date changed the Pal Park was made unavailable for 24 hours, they could add something similar so that if the time/date was changed the player could not receive items for 24 hours. It's not a complete fix, but the long wait would put a lot of people off doing it.

Same ways as before most likely. Animal Crossing isn't a competitive game so cheaters are not really much of a concern.

To be honest cheating like that in Animal Crossing just feels weird, it's like how you'd feel if you were frozen in a freezer for a while and came out to see that things have changed, people have moved, etc... it's just depressing. :P
