I have two hdtv's. One is a big 56 inch DLP and the other is a 37 inch plasma. On the big tv, i can easily play from about 10 feet away. But i moved my Wii into my bedroom to try it out on my plasma tv, and i can only play from about 5 feet away before it looses track of the remote. It also has to be straight infront of the plasma, it wont detect the remote from the sides. So, basically, its useless on my plasma. I tried the sensor above and below the tv with the same result. Any comments?

Go to the Wii setting and pump up the sensitivity. Also try turning off the light, so the UV leds on the Sensor Bar are the only source.

The sensor bar doesnt have to be on top or above of the TV... you can move it closer to you, the cable is long enough, and for that you can use the SensorBar stand.

Any way... on the manuals it says 6 feet is the optimal distance.. try staying on that range

The sensor just emits infrared light. if the plasma is emitting infrared light to, that could cause a problem. Take pictures of your tv's playing the same game. if the plasma appears whiter, that would be the case. To fix it you would have to turn down the sensitivity of your wii.
