I've only played the online once and I noticed you can't voice chat. Is there a way you can voice chat? I was wondering becuase the online game that I played was really boring becuse it was just like playing against a computer. Online is only fun if you can talk to your opponents and taunt them etc.

Taunt them? You mean shout abuse at them?

Voice chat is a nice extra when in the hands of the right people but it isnt everything.

Nope... no voice chat but the action and gameplay is over pretty fast... i mean what are u gunna taunt sumone the whole fight.... might sound hilarious!

Online play is awesome if u choose ur friends wisely.... no lag problems for me :)

I like it. It's nothing like playing against a computer. Computers are so predictable and stupid, even at lvl 9. But players won't fall for the same trick twice.

Pros:

-Fun with friends

-Relativly no lag when playing with friends

- you are open to plenty of options when playing WITH FRIENDS

Cons:

-You cannot invite friends to games (WTF Nintendo!)

-No leader-board/scoreboard, ect

-Cannot even personally see how many games you've won

-Can be extremely laggy when playing with random players (more often then not in my case)

-No voice chat

As you probably tell, SSBB online is pretty fun if you have friends to play with but without the ability to invite friends and/or chat with them getting a game together is a bit of a chore. Also,no matter how much people try to sugarcoat the voicechat deal you have to admit that it would make it much easier to communicate whether you want to keep playing or pick a new level and so on.

The Wii is the only next gen system I own and you don't need to be an xbox fanboy to realize that SSBB online has major flaws. C'mon people, be realistic here we are kinda stuck in the year 2000 when it come to online capabilities. With all of the limitations though, once you get into a game with your friends its is a blast.
