its really a gem. i played it a lot when it came out and really enjoyed it then. it was at least possible to beat that game. i never beat the original on NES :(
i would get it if i were you
i have never played the snes version. However there was a ghoul n' ghosts game for the sega genesis when it first came out & the game was really fun but also really hard.
It was kind of like the orginal prince of persia game. which was incredibly hard.
I probably will not download this game. I hope they will come out with the sega genesis version.
Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts? Oh man, only one of the finest and most challenging 16 bit platformers ever made.
See, the reason it's so hard is that it was an arcade game and I guess they never tweaked the difficulty on the snes version, when you keep dying it was supposed to keep you putting in more money.IronManRhinoThere was no arcade version of SG&G. It's difficult purely because it's a challenging game.

The NES version was nearly impossible. There was one part a little late in the game were this gargoyle just kicked your butt. If you could kill him you had a chance to get past the stage but man he was tough. The SNES was slightly easier but still one of the all time toughest platformers.its really a gem. i played it a lot when it came out and really enjoyed it then. it was at least possible to beat that game. i never beat the original on NES :(
