Once WiiSpeak comes out, I'm sure some third party will come up with a head set for the Wii. How long do you think it will take them, and would you use it over the WiiSpeak?

I'm hoping for headsets too, I don't want WiiSpeak at all to be honest.

Me: Hey have you got any su--
My Mum: HEY WHATS THAT GAME YOU'RE PLAYING
Friends on Animal Crossing: Who's that? Why are there so many people in the background
Me: IT'S WIISPEAK DAMNIT. IT FAILS.

Only a good tool for people with soundproof walls or live by themselves >_>

Why don't people want WiiSpeak? There's no proof that it doesn't work. Are people just afraid because without a headset their mommies can hear their friends swearing at them?

Honestly, the thing will work just fine. Why are people such complainers about it?

People dont like change? People are use to headsets and thats what they want. plus i think wiispeak uses ur tv's speakers so its going to go over the sounds in the game

No, its not. It has a noise reducer so all you'll hear is peoples voices when they talk.

Whats the point of WiiSpeak anyways? sooner or later were going to have to pay to use it, like a phone. do yhou honestly think that Nintendo would let a moneymaking opportunity like this go to waste?

Because it's a lot more comfortable to talk into a headset with a microphone right near your mouth rather than to yell into a large plastic microphone on top of your television...?

I think people should stop complaining on the fact that it isnt a headset and try this new idea.

The only concern I have with WiiSpeak, is that it will use a preassure zone mic, which will pick up all the sounds in the room. My Wii is in the same room as my computers and the main house TV, and the TV is always being watched (either my kid wathching Noggin, or my Wife watching her DVR'ed shows) plus my kid (she's almost two) is a busy little bee and makes plenty of noise.

I know WiiSpeak eliminates the sound of the TV that the Wii is playing on, but it won't eliminate all the other sounds. I'm not going to move my Wii to another room, because then I wouldn't be able to watch my kid while gaming. I'm guessing that a headset will just be more practical in my home versus a pressure zone mic setup.

I'll try it out, of course. Being able to simply talk at the TV would definitely be cooler than having to wear a headset.
