The Ds is just in his biggest moment there is no point in making another handheld for the next 3 years, since it will work with the Wii in many games, i.e. Pokemon BR, Final Fantasy CC, etc.
Â
so don´t worry i don't think, and is illogical, that there will be another hand-held from Nintendo at least in some years
Well if Nintendo likes to release things alongside a counter part to make them compatible. The Wii was released with DS compatibility. That would mean that if Nintendo releases another handheld it would have to be compatible with the Wii in some way. So they wouldn't release another handheld until another next gen system.
Â
So in short ask yourself when they will be releasing the next system after the wii and around that time is when they will release the next handheld.
Â
So the DS has a lot of life in it.Â
i currnetly work in the nintendo gaming industry in Austalia and i can asure you all that the nintendo ds gaming system will be the main hand held system for nintendo for a minimum of 3.5 years, you have my wordekoolish
I agree here as a video game retailer in Canada.Â
the DS is not 200 bucks but 129 even with tax not even 150. But a slew of great DS games are coming like Ninja Gaiden and Brothers in Arms. The DS is going to last for a while. Looking at Nintendo's handheld history, it doesn't look like there will be a remake of the ds for atleast another 1.5 to 2 years. there will definatly be another one. but the its stil works like the DS. There were three version of the gameboy, the original gameboy, gameboy pocket, and gameboy color. Now there were three versions of the GBA, the original GBA, the GBA SP and the Gameboy micro. Looks like there is a good chance of history repeating itself that there will be atleast three versions of the Nintendo DS.khamsaiumn
Â
too true, I could see a DS with at least a slightly bigger screen,
and two touch screens and graphics that top the gamecube (drool)!
