It has roughly 16,000 blocks. Wii blocks are 128K each.
Please note you cannot run games from the SD card. You have to copy them from the SD card back to main memory to play them. Also note you can delete and redownload your games from the Shop channel for free. So you don't need an SD card unless you are going to be away from a fast Internet connection.

I'm confused....Can I download WiiWare/VC games onto my wii and then transfer them to an SD because I have very little room in my Wiis memory.
You can copy things to the SD card but you cannot run them from the SD card. To run them you must make room to copy them back to the Wii's built-in memory. In other words, the SD card does NOT transparently extend the Wii's memory. It is secondary memory.
And, like I said, you can delete and redownload all VC and WiiWare games for free (to the same Wii you bought them on). So you don't need an SD card unless you will be away from your Internet connection (or you have a slow Internet connection).
I don't know if you know this but you don't have to use a wii sd card I think. just a regular one but they have less blocks (666 and 1332) because they are not made for the Wii.
